Amanda Knox is Free!

After spending 4 years in jail for murdering her roommate in what turned out to be the worst study abroad in the history of college, Amanda Knox has finally been decreed innocent by the Italian judicial system.

Amanda was released two hours after the Perguia court made their verdict of not guilty and Amanda released this statement to the Italy-US Foundation which seeks to promote ties between the two countries and has supported Knox throughout her ordeal:”those who shared my suffering and helped me survive with hope, thank you.”

Unfortunately for Amanda this saga is not quite over. The court is set to appeal the decision however sources say it is unlikely that Amanda will be extradited back to Italy.
