The Hunger Games didn’t want any ‘Twilight leftovers’

Now that Kellan Lutz is done with the Twilight series, he’s ready to move onto another successful franchise. He wanted to play the part of Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games but the producers turned him down because they didn’t want any ‘Twilight leftovers’. The part ended up going to Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, instead.

A rep The Hunger Games isn’t denying the story but isn’t fessing up to it either. They said, “Kellan didn’t audition but we think he’s talented.”
