Nicollette Sheridan took the stand in the trial against her former boss

Nicollette Sheridan took the stand yesterday in the trial against her former boss, the creator of the Desperate Housewives, Mark Cherry. Nicollette is accusing him of hitting her twice after she questioned him about a line in the script and is suing for $6mil for wrongful termination after her character was killed off following the assault.

She demonstrated to the court how he hit her twice in her face in a fit of anger. She described it as a ‘nice wallop across the head’ and said, “I’m not accustomed to being hit. It was shocking, humiliating, demeaning, and it was unfathomable to me that I’d just been hit by my boss.” Mark begged her for forgiveness for months before finally killing off her character.

Nicollette said that she became concerned once she realized she was making a lot less than her co-stars. The other Housewives stars, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, James Denton, Marcia Cross and Neal McDonough, have all been called to testify on Mark’s behalf, so it will be interesting to hear what they have to say in court.
