Paula Deen and her brother sued for sexual harassment

It hasn’t been a good year for Paula Deen. She started off the year by revealing that she’s had diabetes for the past three years and is now repping a diabetic pharmaceutical company. Suspicious that she didn’t slow down on showing American’s some of the unhealthiest ways to eat until it was beneficial to her.

But now she’s in even more hot water after an ex-employee filed a lawsuit against her and her brother Bubba Hiers yesterday.

Lisa Jackson claims that she was sexually harassed by Bubba and Paula was a racist that often threw around offensive slurs.

Lisa says she was moved up to the GM position at Paula’s restaurant in Savannah, GA after they fired the previous manager for sleeping with a waitress. She was in that position from 2005-2010 until she couldn’t handle the work environment any longer.

When Paula promoted Lisa, she told her, “If you think I have worked this hard to lose everything because of a piece of (p), you better think again, and now I’m going to do something I have never done I am going to put a woman in a man’s job.”

After Lisa took the position, she started working closely with Bubba. They shared a small office together and he brought “inescapable pornography” to the work place. He made uncomfortable sexual remarks to all the girls and even asked Lisa to bring him some pictures of her when she was younger.

The lawsuit also claims that Paula often used racial slurs. Lisa once asked Paula what the staff would need to wear to cater Bubba’s wedding a few years ago. Paula answered, “Well what I would really like is a bunch of little (n) to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around. Now, that would be a true Southern wedding wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”
