Lamar Odom blames his cousin’s death for his basketball failures (PHOTO)

Lamar Odom confessed on Twitter why he had such a bad season with the Dallas Mavericks this year.

He started off tweeting about his comeback plans and that angered some of the Mavericks fans. Lamar tweeted, “Being the best basketball player I can possibly be will allow me to become the next P.Diddy. I know what’s fly! Dis the Year. The comeback kid.” Then fans started replying that he should have thought about ‘being the best’ when he was collecting a check from the Mavs instead of just sulking. And that’s when he laid down the death guilt trip. He replied, “It was hard to get the picture of my cousin who was 24 and got shot in the head out of mind. Thanks for your support.”

Lamar’s cousin was shot last summer. He and Khloe were in town for his cousin’s funeral when his vehicle struck and killed a 15-year old pedestrian.
