BUSTED: Madonna gets a taste of her own medicine! (VIDEO)
Written by Russ Francis+
Remember how Madonna accused Lady Gaga of slyly sampling the chorus of ‘Express Yourself’ in her recent hit ‘Born This Way?’ The Queen of Pop made a pretty big hoo-hah about it—she mentioned it in a Newsweek interview and then publicly called out Gaga at her MDNA Tour’s debut show in Tel Aviv by mashing up the two songs.
Well, it looks like Madonna is getting a taste of her own medicine. She is being sued over her megabit album Vogue. (Yes, the one from way back in the early ’90s.) A record company named VMG Salsoul filed the lawsuit claiming Madonna illegally sampled the horns and strings on her track, ’So Damn Horny,’ from Salsoul Orchestra’s 1977 dance song “Chicago Bus Stop (Ooh, I Love It).“
But why did it take so long? Was someone seriously snoozing on the job or what?
VMG Salsoul claims the samples aren’t obvious. (Guess not!) They were only recently detected thanks to new technology that can help isolate and identify individual sounds.
Maybe after Madonna finishes fighting her own copyright infringement lawsuit, she can give Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ the old Springer paternity test. Is Madonna the father of Gaga’s chorus or not?
Sounds like the music biz is wising up—no more free rides—they’re going all CSI: Hollywood!

Regardless she may have used samples of instruments but the concept of the “Vogue” song came from Malcolm McLaren’s “Deep In Vogue”, the Madonna version of the video montages and bares a striking resemblance to his video for “Deep In Vogue” and as with the rest of her career she based the song and video off Mr. McLarens genius as done with so many others work, and recently she used a Sex Pistols song in W.E. Malcolm McLaren was one of the innovators behind the Sex Pistols.
