American Idol’s solution to suckage? Bring in different celebrity judges every season.

American Idol’s new strategy to keep the suckage away? Keep bringing in the big name judges but change them out every season. Then they are keeping it fresh and not locking these artists down for too long.

Nigel Lythgoe is hoping that only signing these big name judges for one year will lure them to come work for his sinking reality competition. He said, “If we do want these big stars, and we do, you cannot take them away from what they do. That’s depriving the public of a star . . . and stopping them from earning a lot of money.”

Maybe if they use that strategy that can pull in some of the big names that the booted J.Lo is throwing out there… She’s aiming high for the next judge. Only the best to fill her shoes right? She suggested that maybe Bono, Bon Jovi or Mick Jagger should be the next Idol judges.

Notice she didn’t dare throw megastar Mariah Carey‘s name out there.. probably because she’s intimidated by the fact that she’s a well respected musician with actual talent? Nothing would ruffle her kitty fur like getting a super talented female artist in there.
