The director of There Will be Blood, Paul Thomas Anderson, has a highy-anticipated new film in the works called There Will Be Scientology The Master, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams.

It has been more than rumored, that Joaquin’s creepy character was inspired by none other that the Godfather of Scientology himself—L. Ron Hubbard.
It seems fitting that Joaquin would play such a controversial figure in his first film back after his silly Andy Kaufman-esque antics with his flop “mockumentary” I’m Still Here. It takes the heat off him!
The Master begins a limited theatrical release on October 12th, 2012.
