Adrienne & Paul’s SPLIT: They first tried an “open” relationship “for the kids”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Adrienne Maloof and Dr. Paul Nassif filed for legal separation today.

Radar Online reports that the two had been having issues for a long time and even tried an open relationship. ”They both knew of indiscretions the other had, and both would get jealous, but their marriage had become so broken it was the only option for them,” Radar’s inside source added, ”Having an open marriage was not a solution but they were desperate to keep it together for the children.”

For the CHILDREN? Huh? How exactly can extramarital affairs HELP the kids?

We imagine Miss. Type-A (Adrienne) getting all gussied up for a date with a hot young lover and telling Paul: Sorry this hurts you, but I’m only doing it for the kids. You should get out there and find someone half-your-age too! Don’t you love your children?

TH5 thinks what they are REALLY saying—in a very twisted way—is that family means the world to them and in an attempt to keep the family unit together…they tried bending the rules a bit…maybe if they were both getting some on the side they’d be happier and be able stand each other. GUESS NOT!

Good to know that this DOES NOT WORK. No need to try this at home!
