Brad Paisley wasn’t American Idol’s first country choice

American Idol wants to follow in The Voice’s footsteps by bringing a country crooner on board. Last week, we found out that they are in hot pursuit of Brad Paisley but he wasn’t their first choice!

Toby Keith admitted that Idol approached him about joining the judging panel but he turned them down! No, not because everyone knows that Mariah is going to be a huge diva and a nightmare on the set… Just simply because he can’t take that much time off from his day job, opening bars and doing music.

Since their first country choice turned them down, now Idol wants Brad Paisley to come on board. Hopefully, he’s not busy with his career too.
