The good news- Katy Perry is breaking pop records… The bad news- she might be getting serious with John Mayer. Or pining away for the newly single Robert Pattinson, depending on who you listen to.

Katy’s new single ‘Wide Awake’ hit #1 on the Billboard chart, breaking the record for the most #1’s on the pop chart in nearly 20 years. And Ms. Katy has only been on the scene for the past 4 years, so it didn’t even take her long to get to this feat!

‘Wide Awake’ is her ninth #1 hit. She beat out the previous record holders- Rihanna (8 singles), Lady Gaga, Pink and Britney Spears (all 7), and Mariah Carey and Beyonce (6 each).

But Katy’s not just luck in the hits department, she’s also lucky in the rebound-with-Hollywood’s-leftovers department. Katy’s been spotted with notorious rebounder John Mayer again! Last week, they fueled the romance rumors by going on a few dates. She pretty much signed the divorce papers and signed on to show Mayer her Wonderland. Then over the weekend, they were spotted hanging out in Miami. They stayed at the same hotel (in the same room?) and were seen out at the pool.

But John may-er may not be her only beau. Katy’s also picking up the broken pieces of Robert Pattinson’s heart, at least according to Hollywood Life. They claim that she was cozying up to a mag that had Rob on the cover and is in hot pursuit of him now that he’s back on the market.
