Ryan Seacrest + Olympic coverage = FAIL

It took lots of gigs and millions of dollars but we finally found a job that Ryan Seacrest is not so good at! In your face Seacrest!

For some reason, Ryan is along for the Olympic ride on NBC. He’s part of the Olympic coverage alongside Bob Costas and Matt Lauer but no one is taking him seriously!

A sports insider told Radar Online that it’s a bad move to include him in the coverage because “Ryan is the face of mainstream celebrity media, and there’s supposed to be something sacred and pure about the Olympics. Ryan’s not up to speed on the athletes in the way that they should be covered.”

In other words, keep your Kardashian and Idol day job…

Viewers are against having the pop culture guru at the Olympics too. Someone tweeted, “I just want bbc Olympics coverage.. Smart commentary, focus on the sport, and no Ryan Seacrest” and “So now I have to watch Ryan Seacrest every New Year’s Eve AND every Olympics too? #NBCfail.”

The insider went on to say, “It’s a slap in the face to sports and athletics and those who spend their life devoted to covering them.”
