OH YES—SHE DID!
Sir Elton John speaks VERY candidly in an interview with his good friend Molly Meldrum, which recently aired on Australian TV. When asked about the Queen of Pop, who he’s had a long time feud with, Elton had these sweet sentiments to share, ”Why is she (Madonna) such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is OVER. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger [C-word].”

Sounds like someone is feeling protective of his son’s godmother-monster. Elton, who is besties with Lady Gaga (and yes, she is REALLY little Zachery’s godmother) is naturally gonna be on Team Gaga. Elton hasn’t been happy with the way Madonna has continually dissed Gaga. Elton said, “She’s been horrible to Gaga.”
Meanwhile, when Elton John was asked what Gaga is like as a godmother? He said,”She’s great. Wherever she is in the world she sends texts to him. She asks ‘how is he?’ she comes and bathes him, she sings to him, she’s a good godmother and she really pays attention.”
The Elton/Madonna ‘Queen Bee quarrel’ has been going on long before Gaga was on the scene—designing meat dresses… The exact origin of the feud is foggy, but in 2004, Elton called Madonna out at Britain’s Q Awards for lip-synching after winning the “Best Live Act” award. Ha! Nice one Elt! Then, earlier this year, Elton and his hubby David Furnish, also ripped Madonna a new at the Golden Globe awards; this came shortly after Madonna took shots at Gaga for allegedly stealing her ‘Express Yourself’ chorus for ‘Born this Way.’

This Elton John interview is fantastic! I’ve always adored his music. Seen him in concert twice. Always was curious about the man. This interview gives you a remarkable sense of exactly what Elton John is about. I heard 3rd hand about the earlier days. Fussy, selfish and not terribly nice. What a lovely human being he’s become. Oh, and the part about Madonna? Not sure what’s going on there. Hopefully everyone can put their egos aside and genuinely apologize/forgive each other.
