Is Justin Timberlake working on a new album??

Written by +

Jim Beanz, the music producer—not to be confused with Jim Beam, the drunk producer—told Digital Spy that his next project is working with Justin Timberlake who’s currently penning tracks with Timbaland (not to be confused with Timberlake).

If that’s no confusing enough, it’s being reported that Jim Beanz, basically, made this story up! But, hold up! Why would a successful producer who has previously worked with big names like Katy Perry and Britney Spears make this s**t up?

Here’s what Beanz said, ”When I get back to the States I’m going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake” …  ”It’s still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks” …  ”He (Justin) has some crazy, crazy stuff.”

JT’s publicist told EW.com however, that these rumors are not true, “Justin only plans to work on tracks for Shock Value 3 and that’s it.”

Okay, so isn’t JT’s rep actually confirming the rumors of a Timbaland/Timerlake collaboration? It sounds like Beanz just got carried away and embellished the degree to which JT is involved — like the “crazy, crazy  stuff” part. Beanz (and his big mouth) had this to say when asked if Justin is feeling the pressure to top his critically and commercially acclaimed albumFutureSex/LoveSounds:

“There are certain artists who live in the moment and the reason why FutureSex/LoveSounds was so amazing is because he didn’t try to top Justified” … ”There are certain artists who can get inside with great charisma and energy and make great music every time. So it’s not really about topping the last record, it’s more about topping music that comes on the radio” … “He’s going to kill it.”

Jim Beanz is currently in the UK working with a host of British talent including Little Mix, JLS and Dionne Bromfield. (Whoever they are.)

You may recall that Justin told Playboy in 2011 that the reason he hasn’t put out an album since 2006, is because he loves music too much… Huh?

JT said, “You go through these spurts when you miss it” … “Unfortunately, the business of music is what taints an artist’s desire to make music” … “I don’t want to paint a picture of being jaded, because I love making music. I honestly love it. But there is a level where making music becomes a total life-sucking commitment.”

Yeah, he TOTALLY sounds jaded.

Do you think Justin Timberlake should suck it up and make a new album?
