The new CEO of Nivea was quoted in a German newspaper saying that the current Nivea/Rihanna ad campaign should have been a “no go.” Claiming that Nivea needs a more “family-friendly” image.
He added, “I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and realiability.”
Wow. Welcome to the hot seat, Stefan Heidenreich.
Rihanna struck back by tweeting the ‘business headshot’ of CEO Stefan Heidenreich (below) along with the text: “No caption necessary.”
Apparently, RiRi felt the CEO’s blotchy caucasian complextion said enough. We would have gotten a kick out of Rihanna’s responding with something like: “All Nivea products in the world couldn’t help this guy.”
