Kardashians Vs. Posh: Who’s got the sexier new optical line?

Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham announced the release of her sexy new optical line and now The Kardashian sisters are revealing their sexy specs for Sears Optical.

When did glasses become sexy, anyway? And why are so many celebs hoping on the bifocals bandwagon? Aren’t most people looking towards laser eye surgery these days?

More importantly, what made the Kardashians think that big ’80s hair and heinous mob-wife attire would be a good marketing angle for their ‘sophisticated’ line at Sears? The department store must have been hoping the Kardashians would raise their profile—not attract more rif raff!

Kim looks like she’s thinking: this was a terrible idea. But, that could just be because she doesn’t even need glasses! Kim had Lasik surgery in 2008. She even wrote on her blog before the procedure, “I never wanted to wear contacts or glasses, so I have just kind of dealt with it.”

Posh, on the other hand, sounds like she’s actually going to wear hers,“I do need to wear glasses — I haven’t found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like. I’ve always been quite self-conscious about this, so that’s why I’ve decided to do them myself. I will be wearing my glasses now, and it will be nice to see where I will be going for once.”
Victoria’s collection has six pairs of specs each features a diamante-faceted “V” and cost around $300. The Kardashians glasses are likely much less; since Sears is currently running a spectacles special of “2 Pairs for $99.”
