Wanda Sykes to host Presidential election special in drag! (Or so she hopes)
Written by Russ Francis+

Wanda Sykes — the popular Chris Rock Show alum — will DEFINITELY be hosting a pair of election specials titled “NewNowNext Vote With Wanda Sykes,” for the gay-centric cable outlet Logo—but doing so, while dressed in drag, is yet TBD…
Wanda said, “These specials will be thought provoking, exciting and the perfect forum to discuss important issues facing our community. Plus, it is Logo so maybe I’ll get to dress in drag!”
We can’t wait to hear Wanda’s two cents worth on her election specials, which Logo hopes will, “educate, activate and entertain viewers while shining a spotlight on the state of national politics through an LGBT lens.”
The show will be taped in front of a live audience in New York’s Times Square and will employ a “rapid-fire, roundtable format with notable panelists from both sides of the political aisle.”
The first of the one-hour specials will air Sept. 10 at 10 p.m., four days prior to the Democratic National Convention. The second special will air on Nov. 5, the eve of the election, at a time to be announced.
Her buddy Chris Rock was also recently in the news for his rock solid take on the recent mass shooting and gun control issues.
”We got to figure out guns … We got to figure out how to stop this gun stuff. We do. Whenever people try to defend their guns, they always say, ‘I’m protecting my property. I’m protecting my property.’ Every time there’s a mass shooting, it’s a guy who lives with his mother. He owns no property.”
