Nicki Minaj joins American Idol and Mariah Carey isn’t happy about it!

It was rumored that Nicki Minaj was a top contender for American Idol and Us Weekly broke the news yesterday that she is officially joining Mariah Carey on the judging panel. Their sources said that ‘the deal may not be completely done but she is definitely doing it’.

And her joining the show is already causing a world of problems. First of all, Nicki is the face of Pepsi and Idol is sponsored by Coca-Cola, so hiring her might cause some cola wars. And Mariah (42) wasn’t happy at all when she was informed that the much younger Nicki (29) would be joining the show. She hung up the phone when the execs told her, saying that she was led to believe that she would be the only woman on the show.

But is Nicki ready for live TV? She can’t even keep her cool on Twitter.

Nicki bailed on a few shows in London over the weekend due to ‘strained vocal cords’ and some of her fans were talking smack to her on Twitter. She responded with, “If you have anything negative to say to me, please eat [crap] and die. I am human. I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal cord. If you can’t understand that, your mother’s a [rhymes with smore].”

But Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe knew what he was doing was he invited crazy and diva to join the show. Imagine the catfights these ladies will get into! I’m gonna tune in just to see who’s the first one to draw a blade and cut a bitch!
