John Mayer almost ran into Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson on a date!

The media wants Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson to get together. They’ve been trying to connect the two ever since Kristen Stewart broke his little heart. And now they are finally hanging out and almost got busted by the guy that just recently broke her heart, John Mayer.

Katy and Robert were dining at the Soho House in West Hollywood. Apparently they are friends and maybe a little more. Katy has been trying to be supportive of Robert during his time of need. She’s been encouraging him to go out, have some fun and show Kristen that he’s not sulking over her.

So they went on a little dinner date and took off just moments before John showed up. John barged in just 15 minutes later and started hitting on the whole restaurant. They barely missed each other.

Maybe if John would have showed up just minutes earlier, Rob could have defended his new damsel in distress’ honor.. then told John that he could set him with K-Stew so he could break her heart. Vindication at its finest.

Situation solved. Geez that was close.
