John Travolta: Crazed Nymphomaniac or Average Gay Man?

Written by +

What we’re about to tell you may seem outrageous…you may soon form the opinion that John Travolta is some kind of CRAZED nymphomaniac. But, that’s just not fair…. For one, to fully grasp the complexity of the Enquirer‘s T.M.I. story, one must be given all the facts. A key fact being: over a lifetime a gay man may have as many as 500-1000 lovers… and that’s just an average…

John’s former gay lover is opening up for the first time about their passionate six-year-relationship — spilling way too many details in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer. Here goes…

Doug Gotterba—John Travolta’s multitasking lover/pilot—claims that his big screen heartthrob had a sexual appetite was insatiable, that he wanted to make a sex tape, and that he enjoyed cavorting with multiple male partners at a time.

Maybe he was just trying to bring up his batting average? Maybe he was just making up for lost time…while he was pretending to be straight?

Doug told the Enquirer that he met Travolta in February 1981 when the actor interviewed him for a pilot job and they soon became lovers.

“We flew into Monterey, Calif., and went up to the Highlands resort in Carmel,” Doug says. “We had a wonderful dinner with a fantastic bottle of merlot, and I got the sense I was being courted.

“As we walked from the restaurant back to the room, John suddenly said, ‘Hey, would you like a massage?’

“I’d already prepared myself for something like that, so I said, ‘Sure, why not? I went back to his room, showered and came out wearing only a towel. John said, ‘Okay, like down here on the bed.’ He gave me a massage – and it turned into something else!

“John was gentle, but very passionate. The next day, he told me with a big smile on his face, ‘I really enjoyed last night.’ And I told him, ‘So did I!”

From that moment, Doug says they became a couple and Travolta whisked him away to wherever he wanted.
Wouldn’t it be the other way around—with Dough doing the whisking—since he’s John’s pilot?
The last time Doug saw Travolta was in 1992. By that time the Hollywood hotshot had married Kelly Preston.

“They’d just gotten back from the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood when I arrived and John asked me to go with him for a walk on the beach,” Doug says.

“We were making small talk when suddenly, I blurted out, ‘So, John, tell me. Now that you’re married, do you still prefer men – or women?’ He looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Well, Doug, I still prefer men!’ I said, ‘okay.’ And that’s the last time we saw each other.”

Oh…thought he was going to say: And we got it on…one final last time…and were joined by several members of the Church of Scientology.
