LeAnn Rimes legal team tried to sue the wrong person

LeAnn Rimes is suing that teacher Kim Smiley for invasion of privacy. Remember, Kim recorded their b-fest convo without LeAnn knowing and published it on the internet for everyone to judge. LeAnn ran off to go hide in rehab while saying that she was seeking help to deal with anxiety and stress.

Well they tried to serve this lady in a big media circus type fashion… but they kinda screwed that up.

A process server served Kim Smiley legal papers on Labor Day and they had the media in tow with them to capture this moment. But the thing is… they were at the wrong Kim Smiley’s house. They were actually at her sister-in-laws house with the same name.

The real Kim Smiley is soaking up all this new attention and told Radar Online that her sis-in-law tried to tell them. She said, “My sister-in -law told them they had the wrong Kim and they wouldn’t believe her. They wouldn’t leave her alone. I heard the process server was banging on the door and looking over the fence. They were having a party and my sister-in-law was so upset she took her kids and ran to the clubhouse (in the development where they live). My brother was playing golf. He came back and he was angry. He told them not to show up ever again. My sister-in-law had told them it was the wrong Kim but they wouldn’t believe her.”

The Kim Smiley named in the documents lived more than an hour away. No word on if they finally served the right one.

A spokesperson for LeAnn denied the whole situation.

Somebody else is commenting on this story though. The evil real mommy that may or may not be the perpetrator behind this whole bully fest, Brandi Glanville. She posted a snide remark on Twitter, saying, “If I sued every person that harassed me on Twitter, I’d be a GAZZILIONAIRE!”
