The Voice is trying to steal ratings from the X-Factor. Playing dirty or smart move?

The 2nd seasons of The Voice and X-Factor start up next week and the shows are playing dirty to try to dominate the ratings.. and the viewers.

Normally, the shows are on different days to you can get your fill of lots of people singing but next week, The Voice is intentionally going up against their rival show in hopes to steal some viewers.

The Voice was set to premiere on Monday and Tuesday of next week on NBC but last minute, they added a third show for Wednesday, scheduled for the same time as the X-Factor premiere on Fox. They are hoping to win over viewers the first two days so they have to tune in on Wednesday too.. and take some of the ratings away from the X-Factor.

Simon Cowell called them out for playing dirty. He said, “This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business . . . these guys have really got it in for us. It’s nothing short of dirty tricks. The reason they’ve done this is they don’t want people to see ‘X Factor’ because they’ve heard how good the series is. They don’t want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don’t want their audience to see Demi Lovato.”

Think Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine are shaking in their britches over Britney and Demi joining the singing shows? More importantly, which show do you think has the biggest star power?
