Britney Spears’ reaction to crazy fan—normal or narcissistic?

The highlight of last night’s X-Factor episode was an overly FIRED-UP Britney Spears fan. Brit was so terrified of her #1 FAN that she looked like she was either going to—run for the nearest exit or the nearest garbage can (to hurl).
20-year-old Patrick Ford presented Ms. Spears with a big bouquet of tacky flowers before going on to BUTCHER one of her own songs. We didn’t think “Circus” could turn into an even bigger circus…or get any worse. Britney looked BOTH frightened of the noise coming from the contestant’s mouth and ROYALLY OFFENDED. She seemed to think this was all just one big joke. When Simon told her he, was for real, she probably thought: Oh! Cool! I didn’t think I still had any die-hard fans.
We got the feeling that X-Factor producers egged-on the poor fan, to enhance his ‘psycho-X-factor.’ To us, he simply seemed like a really loyal Britney Spears fan with a really bad voice. Poor Patrick was CRUSHED when Britney not only didn’t pass him (along with all 3 other judges), but she also would not allow him to present her with the flowers — Simon had to play middleman.

No, he even scared me. She looked terrified and by how psychotic the boy acted, she may have had every reason in the world to react the way she did.
