Christina Aguilera AIMS for AVERAGE with her new single (AUDIO)

Christina Aguilera drops her new single “Your Body” and it appears she’s striving for mediocre. Between the cover art—a cross between Britney Spears circa 2004 and a JLo perfume ad—and the actual song—the most standard pop/dance track possible—we’re left wanting more…yet less of her weave.

Her upcoming new album is titled Lotus, which she says represents “an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives…The album represents a rebirth for me…I’ve been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on The Voice, having had a divorce. This is all sort of a free rebirth for me.”

Is this re-birth some kind of hippy-dippy-transcendental-homebirth, that’s completely off the radar and only a few chosen people will be aware of it? Or will the Jennifer Lopez Comeback Career Path work for Christina too?
