Russell Brand WALKS the TALK—takes in a homeless man! (PHOTOS)

Russell Brand knows that to stay sober you have to pass it on…pay it back. But, did Russell take this a little too far by taking in a stinky, shirtless homeless man?

We think not! According to a witnesses, Russell was leaving his yoga class the other day and noticed a homeless man lying shirtless on the ground. The man looked like he could really use some help. Russell didn’t just pass him by—so easy to do—he stopped.

A witness said, “Russell noticed him there and was parked and out of the vehicle in no time to help. He asked the guy his name and what was wrong. I heard him offer to take him for some food. Thomas (the home/shirt-less man) said he wanted a burger, to which Russell replied, ‘You don’t want any of that crap, come to my house and you can have some proper food and a nice bath.”

Poor guy, he was probably forced to eat a Tofu, Quinoa, Kale salad!
Another witness told E! Online that he heard Russell say he was taking the guy with him to his AA meeting.
Oh good, at least he’ll be able to get a cup of coffee and probably some cookies.

In other SPONTANEOUS Russell Brand news, he was an ‘impromptu’ guest star on Two and a Half Men. Last week, Russell randomly ran into Ashton Kutcher on the CBS lot. Aston threw out that Russell should guest star on his Charlie Sheen-hand-me-down-sitcom. Most celebs would have felt inclined to run it by their agent first, but Mr. Yoga decided that ‘the present moment’ was as good a time as any—Russell popped into a restaurant scene the show was filming right THERE AND THEN!
