Emily Maynard and Jef Holm FAKE IT! (for the cameras)

Written by +

Jef Holm always seemed to be great at cheesing it up for the camera on The Bachelorette—whether during his lame marionette date with Emily or his corny-as-all-heck confessional videos. Now it’s being rumored that he is using his over-acting skills to keep us all believing that he and Emily are still on their way to a happy ever after ending—when in actuality—it’s OVER.

According to Us Weekly, Jef told an ex that the sexting rumors between Emily and a “professional football player” (said to be Oakland Raiders back-up quarterback Matt Leinart) are true!

This “ex” is Kaylee Shepherd, the young lady Jef is said to have recelty treated to Burger King. Apparently she wasn’t impressed with her Whopper combo meal, because Kaylee dished all the the dirt about Jef’s unimpressive acting skills—from the sickly sweet tweets to the cheesy photo ops.

Kaylee says she met Jef at a “Utah hotel” on September 16 where he admitted he covered up Emily’s sexting scandal to maintain her squeaky clean image; in return she promised to share the money estimated to be $150,000. Plus, if they stay together for two years they get to keep Emily’s $68,000 Neil Lane engagement ring!

“Jef said their relationship isn’t what it seemed, it’s basically for TV,” the Utah Valley University senior told Us Weekly. “He said, ‘If I was happily engaged, I would never have texted you.’”

Kaylee first met Jef in the summer of 2011 when the pair were partying on a houseboat on Utah’s Lake Powell. “We hit it off quickly. He’s outgoing, confident and smooth.”

They were soon spending time together every week, although she admits they weren’t “officially boyfriend-girlfriend,” but she was still thrown for a curveball when he said he had been picked for the show even though he reassured her he was “only doing it for the experience.”

They continue to date hook-up until he left for taping. The next time Kaylee heard from Jef, he was engaged. After months of silence, Jef began sending persuasive text messages and Shepherd was finally convinced to go and meet him where he dropped the bombshell that his reality TV romance was “not what it looks like,” telling her: “I thought I was in love, I thought I had found the One, but things have changed.”

But then after rumors about their dinner out at BK hit the press, Jef went back to his Soap Opera style of acting. He played dumb the next time Kaylee texted him, replying: “We haven’t seen each other for months. I can’t see you. I’m engaged and really happy with Emily.”

Meanwhile, as we reported earlier, the next man in the hot seat on season 17 of The Bachelor will be hottie Sean Lowe, the 28-year-old business man from Dallas, Texas, who Emily passed over for Jef.
