Dina Lohan gives Amanda Bynes’ parents advice

Mother of year, Dina Lohan, hates to see another Hollywood starlet heading down a destructive path. Her daughter Lindsay is such an upstanding role model (5x in rehab, arrested numerous times) that Dina put down the bottle, walked off Dr. Phil’s stage and offered up some parental advice to Amanda Bynes’ parents.

Entertainment Tonight asked Dina what she thought about Amanda’s recent troubles. After first she babbled, probably because she was wasted, then she said, “Just be around. … It’s hard when your daughter’s not, you know, over 18, and you want to let [her] go and they want to, you know, feel like they’re in control of themselves. So it’s a very strategic place for a parent to be, but she’ll be OK.”

Because Lindsay’s ok? She just got arrested last week.

Next thing you know, Kate Gosselin, who was just accused of beating her kids with a wooden spoon, will be offering up parenting advice. Or Octomom. Jeez.

Interesting note- Amanda is currently residing in New York, where Linds is running over pedestrians at. And Amanda is going to great lengths to avoid Lindsay. She was thinking about staying at the Dream hotel until she found out that Lilo likes to hang out there.

A source told Radar Online, “Amanda knows the press would go into a feeding frenzy if she and Lindsay were in the same place, so she is calling ahead to restaurants and stores to make sure that Lindsay isn’t there. Amanda just wants nothing to do with Lindsay and doesn’t know why she was commenting on her legal troubles when Lindsay is no saint herself.”
