Jessica Simpson thought lap band surgery was for baby weight
Written by Russ Francis+
Weight Watchers was not Jessica Simpson’s first dieting choice—actually it was more like the LAST house on the block after she was turned down not once but TWICE for lap band surgery!
In an exclusive interview with Radar Online, a close friend of Jessica’s reveals, “After having her daughter Maxwell, Jessica felt there was no way she could ever lose the weight on her own because she has struggled so much in the past and her post partum weight seemed to be growing. So like a true Hollywood girl, she sought out a quick surgical fix – lap band surgery!”
However, health experts wisely advised ‘Ms. I thought ALL the Weight Came Off with the Baby’ that a quick fix wasn’t the answer and after seeking out two different doctors for opinions Jessica “was persuaded to keep pushing to do it the natural way,” said her pal.
Jessica must have been in utter disbelief at this prognosis:
You mean I have to diet and exercise to lose weight—like everyone else?!?
Jessica recently told Katie Couric that she is just 10 pounds shy of her pre-natal weight. Friends are relieved that Jessica is successfully slimming down the sucky old-fashioned way. They’re also probably very grateful her doctors weren’t dumb enough to listen to a word Jessica had to say.
