Nicki Minaj goes off on Mariah Carey during an American Idol audition (VID)

This was destined to happen since day one. That’s why Mariah Carey furiously hung the phone up on the American Idol producers when they informed her that Nicki Minaj would be joining the show with her. She knew that one day that girl would go cray on her… and that time has come.

Yesterday, the Idol crew was out at auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina and something set Nicki off. She started shouting that she said  that she wasn’t going to effin put up with her ‘effin highness over there’ then later threatened to knock Mariah out.

There’s video evidence of this bitch fight below. The audio isn’t great but the whole fight has been transcribed. Here’s what was said…

Nicki: “Get this [crap] in self control. Get in control. Don’t lose your head . . . Don’t tell me I’m a gangster . . . So every time you patronize me, I’m-ma take it back, and if you’ve got [an effing] problem, handle it . . .

“I told them I’m not [effing] putting up with her [effing] highness over there. Figure it the [eff] out . . . I’m not gonna sit here every [effing] minute to have you come down and harass me every minute everyday. Think I’m playing, b**ch do the [bleep]ing show.”

Randy: Hey Hey time out . . . time out.
Nicki: What’s wrong with your head? What’s wrong your head? Don’t tell me I’m an actress (???)
Nicki: If you have a effing problem . . .  (???)  attitude  (???)  Every time you take a shot at me I’m gonna take it back.  And if you’ve got a [bleep]ing problem handle it. I told them I’m not putting up with your [bleep]ing  (???)  Figure this [bleep] out.
Mariah: Why oh why do I have to deal with this . . . (???)
Nicki:  Goodbye.

Mariah is (hopefully defending herself) talking back with Nicki but it’s hard to hear what she is saying.. probably because she didn’t raise her voice to ‘going cray’ octave.

The fight was so bad that the producers shut down filming for the next few days so the judges could cool off. But the show is worried that they won’t be able to make it work in the long run. What if they can’t use most of the footage because it’s all foul-mouthed fighting?

Come on Idol. You know you did this on purpose. This is ratings gold if they don’t murder each other first. It doesn’t even matter if all the contestants and winners suck when the judges are putting on the real show.
