Snoop comes out of rap retirement—new song titled “Pocket Like it’s Hot” (VIDEO)

Snoop Lion said he was DONE with hip-hop and would now be solely known as a soulful Reggae artist. Although, his new song is not an entirely NEW rap number, it’s still nice seeing Snoop in something other than Rasta colors.

Snoop’s new release is a revamped version of his 2004 hit “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” So, what was able to pull Snoop out of rap retirement? HOT POCKETS! (Go figures since he smokes so much weed.)

Snoop’s new track, “Pocket Like It’s Hot” features DeStorm Power and Andy Milonakis. In the vid, Snoop keeps it real by only showcasing the classic ‘Pepperoni Pizza’ pocket.

We hear Snoop had to get special fire insurance because of the extreme risk of burning the top of the mouth. That said, Snoop seems to have found a patent-worthy way around burning your hands when taking this—notoriously hotter-than-a-mother snack/terrible meal replacement—out of the microwave…he had a custom made fuzzy animal print sleeve designed.

Lyrics include:

I’ve got the pockets in my arms
Settin’ off smoke alarms
And I eat ‘em smokin hot/’Cause I got it going on

Pocket like it’s hot
Pocket like it’s hot
