Lindsay Lohan off the hook on the hit-and-run case.. and laughs at the thought of conservatorship!

Michael Lohan wants to save the alcoholic, drug-abusing Lindsay and have her assigned a conservator… but Lindsay isn’t concerned because she says the courts won’t listen to a convicted criminal.

She blabbed to her friends, “They would have a hard time believing the claims of someone who was investigated for insider trading, arrested for domestic violence multiple times, arrested for assault, has a drunk driving arrest, and has been in and out of jail and prison for years.”

And remember how Lindsay’s legal team had Michael’s back in this whole intervention? Now that it failed, they have to side with Lindsay again.

Her publicist released a statement saying, “It’s apparent Michael continues to be very focused on getting publicity for himself.  Lindsay’s team is in no way aligned with him or his actions.”

She also denied that she’s dating that cheerleader guy, Josh Chunn, even though he’s been talking to the media about her. After he stopped her dad’s intervention, he said, “I’ve been trying to get Lindsay to focus. But how do you get her to focus with all the stuff going on around her? I can barely focus. She’s a strong girl. She’s cleaning up. I just want her to be okay. I want us to be okay…. [blah, blah, blah- read his looonnngg statement below]… I’m just trying to figure out what’s best for her at this time right now.”.. Um, call me crazy but it probably helps when you don’t run and talk to the media about her. (“What?!” – Michael Lohan).

But Linds insists that she is single. She tweeted, “I don’t have a boyfriend. I have Chanel, Hermes and diamonds. X”.

Linds also got the good news that she is off the hook in that hit-and-run case. Last month, she was arrested after allegedly clipping a pedestrian that was in the crosswalk of a parking garage. He claimed she was drunk and had her arrested.. but the prosecutors decided there wasn’t enough evidence to get a conviction. She still plans to go after her accuser for defamation.

Here’s what Josh Chunn said after turning her father away during the failed intervention-

“I’ve been trying to get Lindsay to focus. But how do you get her to focus with all the stuff going on around her? I can barely focus. She’s a strong girl. She’s cleaning up. I just want her to be okay. I want us to be okay. [Turning away Michael] It kind of put me in an awkward place. She said, ‘No, no. I don’t want him here. Why are you even talking to him?’ I feel his pain. I get it. He’s just out to help her. [Drugs and partying are] not my thing. I’m into hikes and fishing and outdoors. That’s what I’m always trying to get Lindsay to do. I think I’m the best influence on her. The deal is she is surrounded by a bunch of f—ups. I’m there for Lindsay. I listen. I work hard for my money. I pay my own bill when we go out. I have a schedule. That’s the problem with these kids in L.A., they don’t have a schedule. All they want to do is party. I see all these people just waiting for her (Lindsay) to grab the bill. I’m just trying to figure out what’s best for her at this time right now.”
