Steven Tyler said sayonara to the person that could ultimately suck the talent right out of the band. No, not Joe Perry. He got rid of his fiancée Erin Brady. Allegedly.

Steven (64) has been with Erin (38) for six years and he popped the question to her over the holidays last year. His band and his family weren’t exactly happy about his decision because Erin and Steven both battled with drug and alcohol problems. They even went to rehab together once.

But now that desire to stay sober is coming between them. A source says that Steven is trying to maintain his lifestyle and stay clean. Steven really wants to focus on the tour right now and he feels like Erin is the Yoko Ono to their group, so he broke off the engagement.

Steven’s rep has confirmed that they are having problems but hasn’t fessed up to a split. He released a statement saying, ”Just as any couple goes through trials and tribulations in a relationship, Steven and Erin are asking for their privacy at this time. They are engaged to be married. Any claim to the contrary is absolutely false and misleading.”
