Chris Brown blames car crash on the paparazzi… Typical ‘wasn’t me’ response!

Oh Chris Brown. How do you do it?

First of all, did you see Chris and Rihanna all hugged up at the Grammys last night? (PICS HERE)… Awkward way to celebrate the 4-year anniversary of the last time they tried to go to the Grammys together.. Of course, he assaulted her on the way to the Grammys in 2009 and is still paying the price, legally at least, for that.

But all is forgiven as far as Rihanna is concerned. They arrived at the Grammys separately but sat together, holding hands and hugging and loving all during the show. And um, she’s wearing a diamond on THAT finger. Are they engaged or just want us to speculate on it?

Well that wasn’t all the excitement for Chris this weekend. He was involved in an awful car crash over the weekend but of course, it’s not his fault.

Chris says that he was being chased by some aggressive paparazzi and in an effort to lose them, he lost control of his car. His rep said that they plan on ‘seeking criminal charges and holding them civilly liable’.

But the paparazzi have a different story. The cameramen say that they didn’t arrive until after the crash.

The photo agency released a statement saying, “No photographers were following him at the time he crashed . . . He crashed his car and it’s convenient for him to blame us. He needs to be careful with his defamatory statements.”

Chris did walk away unscathed and was able to make it to his charity event later that night, where he judged a kids dance show and handed out scholarships.
