Perez Hilton may have put this exciting news best by writing, “Dust off your ball-gags and sterilize your anal beads — it’s about to get kinky up in here!” Universal Pictures has finally given salivating Fifty Shades of Grey fans something to chew on. Chairman Adam Fogelson announced the timeline for the film adaptation.

Adam said, “I certainly understand why some people might take that point of view. But I don’t believe that [author E.L. James] had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision. I don’t believe that the second or third film would have benefited from that strategy. And I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie. I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us. It’s conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer.”

At first, I could have sworn it read THIS summer—2013—and I nearly climaxed on the spot, but going over it again I see that it clearly states NEXT summer—2014. Boo! The good news is, Mr. Universal makes mention of a second AND third film!

Now that we’ve all blocked off the entire summer of 2014—end of May through the beginning of September—just in case, I guess it’s back to discussing who will play Christian Grey. This topic seems to be more HEATED  than EVER. People feel so strongly regarding the most worthy man to play naughty Christian. Some feel it MUST be Matt Bomer, some feel it CAN ONLY be Ian Somerhalder and then others CRAVE it to be Henry Cavill.

I feel….that everyone needs to take a cold shower!

Of the 3 men, I would have to say Matt Bomer has the strongest male features. He has a strong jawline, a charming smile, and looks damn good in a suit. The downside to Matt Bomer though is that he is openly gay which can ruin the fantasy for some women who know this fact.

That being said, I think Ian Somerhalder would be my second choice because he knows how to work the Mr. Mysterious look though he does come off with a bit more of a boyish charm than a manly one.

Lastly we have Henry Cavill, the majority of the screen time I’ve seen of him was on The Tudors and we will all get to see him as he reprises the role of Super Man in The Man of Steel. My personal opinion is that he isn’t as good looking as the other two. He also looks a bit more aged than Matt and Ian as well.
