American Idol and X-Factor have some different strategies on how they can finally start winning the singing competition show battle.
Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe wants to boost the ratings by putting together a dream team of judges. He wants to get Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pink and Diddy to come on as judges next season.
He wants to ditch all the judges from the current season.. He tried to get rid of everyone last year but couldn’t cut ties with Randy Jackson. Was that Mariah Carey’s doing maybe? He is her manger. Maybe that was part of the deal.. In order to get the diva, they’d have to keep the dawg.
But would those big judges be able to make the show interesting or just drain more of a paycheck from the failing budget? And would they have enough time to even commit?
Simon Cowell has a different vision for X-Factor. He says that he wants to trade in the big names for a lesser known group that shares real chemistry. He said that all the shows got too distracted by signing these big celebs but they don’t have much to say. His favorite thing about last season was Demi Lovato because she brought more to the panel than the mega overpaid Britney Spears.
The Voice has nothing to say because even with their recent judge switch up, they are still winning in the ratings and the talent.

Who are going to be the judges on this season of X-Factor? Britney Spears and LA Reid are out, along with the host Khloe Kardashian.
Simon Cowell has kept quiet about his plans for this season but there are a lot of rumors going around.
Kelly Rowland might possibly be coming over from the UK X-Factor. She’s been a successful judge over there so Simon thinks it may be time to bring her experience to the US.
Another name that is getting thrown around is Jennifer Love Hewitt. She might be best known for her roles in Party of Five and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but she did get her start with a singing career. She was actually a pop star in Japan back in ’92. She said that she was so successful there because they were really into perky music at the time. She later released an album during her Party of Five fame. She’s released four albums total and a handful of singles.
Never knew that about her. I just thought she was all boobs with a little bit of acting skills.
And Simon is reportedly hot after Reba McIntyre. He thinks the show needs a country flair and wants her to be the ballsy Blake Shelton of the show.

Some people just can’t handle fame. Amanda Bynes went off the deep end after spending years in the spotlight, Justin Bieber went from an innocent Christian boy to a tatted up, sizzurp sipping thug. And let’s not even go into what happened with Britney Spears.
Well here’s another celeb that couldn’t quite handle their rise to stardom… Dina Eastwood.
Dina has been in the fame circle ever since she married Clint Eastwood back in ’96 but she was never in the spotlight until recently. She and her two daughters had a brief fling with reality fame. Mrs. Eastwood and Company aired on E! for one season but the family ‘declined doing a second season for now’, which sounds like E! just didn’t renew them. Maybe they needed to make room for the Ryan Lochte show.
Well Dina has checked into an exclusive rehab facility in Arizona to deal with her problems with ‘depression and anxiety’. TMZ says that she is not being treated for substance abuse problems and that’s really all the info that we have for now.
She could be seeking help to deal with her marriage problems though. Although she has been married to Clint for many years, they have not been seen out in public together since 2011.
They did both attend their daughter’s wedding earlier this year but they got into some huge public argument.

Britney Spears didn’t survive the cut this year. She told Simon Cowell that she wanted to get paid $18mil to eat cheetos, smoke cigarettes and wander off the set of X-Factor.. Simon said thanks but no thanks.
L.A. Reid, Simon’s token black side kick from the beginning, announced that he’s leaving the show too because he needs to focus more on his music label.
And it’s rumored that Khloe Kardashian won’t be bringing her suckage back to the show for another season. No word on if Mario Lopez is going to return as a co-host but we are sure he will be. Standing next to Khloe, he looked great!
The one person besides Simon who has the staying power after last season is Demi Lovato. No one really knew if she would be coming back. She even admitted that she might have been too quick to accept the job because she felt like it was too much responsibility for her to take on so soon.
But she announced yesterday that she will be back for another season. She said, “I’m so excited to return . . . I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better.”
Simon Cowell said that he was glad to have her back for another year, even though she works his nerves. He said, “I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying – I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back even during her world tour!”
There’s been no word on replacement judges just yet but the first round of the auditions are already underway.

Britney Spears isn’t allowed to go out and just meet guys but she never seems to stay single for long. So how is she finding all these different male babysitters? Through her daddy.
Britney needed some male company after she split with fiancé Jason Trawick so daddy Jamie Spears had to find someone suitable. Somehow, he stumbled upon this David Lucado guy. After a thorough background check and a getting him to sign a confidentiality agreement, he released Dave to go be Britney’s boyfriend/ caretaker.
Sounds like another arranged marriage to me.
