She recently dropped 49 pounds and the secret to her sudden weight loss was, shocking, changing her eating habits and changing her exercise routine. I’m guessing her change in exercise was to actually start doing it.
A source said, “Once she became serious about losing the weight, she stopped eating out. They’ve barely gone out at all in the past three months.”
Voice producer Mark Burnett paid her a huge compliment. He said, “Christina is in such good shape; she looks like a professional athlete. She’s as happy as can be, as fit as can be and as full of life as can be. She looks amazing.”
Christina is loving her new body. She said, “At this point of my life… I feel sexier than ever. Effortless-sexy is key. I just don’t try too hard.”
The point of this whole story is just to brag about how much weight she actually lost! We all knew that she dropped some major weight but holy crapola, 49 pounds?!? I would have guessed more like 30. It was obvious that she had packed on some weight but I wouldn’t have guessed that she had 50 to lose.
Good for her.
Who even cares about American Idol anymore? “Not me!” said everyone around here, at your mom’s house and most of the people with a Nielsen TV-ratings scanner.
But then there may be someone like my great-aunt, Casper Smart and Nicole Kidman that begrudgingly admit that they still watch the show, either because they have to or they lost their TV remote and don’t wanna change the channel.
Yeah, can’t wait to not watch this season too.
The Voice not only has far more superior judges, I think their mentors are better than the Idol panel.
They already have the A-Team of judges with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera but guess who else is going to be lending their musical advice on the show? Check out these impressive mentors joining The Voice this season.
Cher is helping out Blake’s team, Ryan Tedder is teaming up with Adam’s luscious body, I mean team. Miguel is teaming up with Cee-Lo and then our fav artist around here, Ed Sheeran, is advising Christina’s team.
The season premiere is September 23rd even though I normally avoid the music competition shows like the plague, I might even watch it. I think this show could hold my attention for a season.
And major bonus…. I <3 Ed Sheeran.
Quickie music reality shows update. What does this have to do with Ed Sheeran? More on that in a minute.
No one’s really worried about American Idol right now but here’s a little update on that show. Jennifer Lopez’s little boy toy Casper Smart confirmed that she will be rejoining the show. She’s expected to make a formal announcement in a few days.
Will.I.Am also turned down the Idol judging gig so he could return to The Voice U.K. for season three. Now the Idol execs are gunning for songwriter- producer Dr. Luke (wrote Since U Been Gone, I Kissed A Girl).
He will help mentor her contestants for the Battle Rounds, where two artists from the same team are pitted against each in a duet duel.
Other news for Ed Sheeran- He’s signed on to do the biggest thing he’s done in his career yet! He’s going to be headlining a show at Madison Square Garden. And that’s def a big accomplishment because his father always told him that “you haven’t made it til you’ve played” at Madison Square Garden.
But poor Ed didn’t even get to break the news himself. Entertainment personality Ralphie Aversa actually made the announcement, saying that he had been sitting on this info for a month!
Ed still teased the news on Twitter, saying, “Regardless of someone jumping the gun, I am making a very special announcement tomorrow. I know it’s just another news story but it’s the biggest thing in my career to date, wanted to announce it properly that’s all.”
Then he confirmed that he will be playing at Madison Square Garden.
He first mentioned putting together a benefit Tuesday night on The Voice. He said, “I’m hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly.” And Usher offered to “call in some really big favors”.
Like Bieber? Think the booing would subside long enough for the Biebs to do some good?
Not like Blake would have any problems calling in the big names. He could just ask a fav from all of his Voice buddies (mmmm Adam), his wife Miranda Lambert, his cohort Kelly Clarkson and her mom-in-law to be Reba McEntire. Sprinkle in some Usher, Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo to break up the country music some. Maybe even throw Katy Perry and Pitbull in there somewhere. That would be a show!
And good for Blake for jumping on the benefit idea. Moore needs all the help that they can get right now and a show like that would raise plenty of money!
The Voice made a promise to their original judges. They said that they can take time off from the show when needed but they will always have a chair to return to.
They are giving Christina Aguilera a huge pay bump to return, just signed Cee-Lo Green’s contract, and Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are returning next season too. They are going back to the original team of judges.
According to sources, Christina and Cee-Lo are just coming back for one more season, then they are taking off another season next spring. The show is already in negotiations to bring Usher and Shakira back as fill-ins again.
Keith Urban said that he would like to come back to the show because he, quote, “literally enjoy coming to work every day, and that’s a rarity.”
As of now, the rumor is that none of the Idol judges will be returning.
