Love conquered all at the box office this weekend! The Vow had a record-setting debut but the re-release of Star Wars 3D didn’t have such an impressive weekend.

1-     The Vow scored big this weekend! This chick flick had the largest opening of the year so far with $41mil.

2-     Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynold’s new action thriller Safe House took a close second with $39 million.

3-     Journey 2: The Mysterious Island comes brought in $27 million.

4-     Star Wars: Episode 1- The Phantom Menace debuted at $23mil.

5-     Chronicle is staying strong in its second week. The movie earned another $12.3, making its two week total come to $40mil.
