Good news all you Hunger Games fans, Lionsgate has announced that they will be making four movies—splitting the final book, Mockingjay, into two parts. This means that for three Novembers in a row we have a new Hunger Games movie to look forward to! Lionsgate must have figured, hey if it worked for Twilight, it could work for us.
Catching Fire comes out Nov. 22, 2013.
Mockingjay: Part 1 is set for Nov. 21, 2014.
Mockingjay: Part 2 is slated for Nov. 20, 2015.
We might as well inform our families now: We’ll come home for turkey and stuffing on Thanksgiving under one condition…

We hope to drag this thing out long enough for Suzanne Collins to write another book.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves though—speculating about the Mockingjay films—we first have to wait more than a year for Catching Fire, which will start production this fall and feature Philip Seymour Hoffman, as head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee. P.S.H. joins Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Jena Malone, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz for the Francis Lawrence-directed rendition. Lawrence takes over for Gary Ross, who directed the first film. There has been no announcement on a director for movies three or four.

The Hunger Games star was walking her dog when she saw this girl fall out in front of her apartment complex. Jennifer and this male bystander rushed to the girl’s side and tried to wake her up before calling 911. They stayed with her until the paramedics arrived.
The police said that the girl was a juvenile and alcohol was likely involved.

Hunger Games hottie Liam Hemsworth (22) popped the question to Miley (19) last Thursday with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from Neil Lane… And this plug prob means the ring was a freebie.
Miley shared (was paid for) the news with People Magazine. She told them, “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.”
The couple met on the set of the movie ‘The Last Song’ back in 2009 and said that they couldn’t help but fall in love with each other. They split briefly back in 2010 but then reunited the following year. They talked about their breakup at the time but recently started denying that they ever split.. Maybe they wanted their relationship to look rock solid before the engagement?

Sir Russell Brand kicked off the MTV Awards last night with his usual laid back brand of humor — it felt as if we were all just shooting the s**t together. The celebs in attendance seemed to thoroughly enjoy being poked fun at it by Russell. Michael Fassbender (star of Shame) didn’t seem to mind the joke about his massive member (wonder why?). And, when it (inevitably) came to Charlie Sheen’s turn in the hot seat, he jumped to his feet and waved enthusiastically to the crowd (in a light-hearted/non-tiger blood kind of way).
A highlight of the night—and of the century—was Johnny Depp playing guitar with The Black Keys. After being awarded the “Generation Award” from Aeromsmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry (members of gram and gramp’s generation), he did two songs with the ‘Keys.’ Johnny may play an amazing pirate, but he’s even better as a rock GOD.
Two other hot moments of the night included — Kristen Stewart very awkwardly trying to get someone (anyone… male or female) to accept ‘Best Kiss’ award with her; in absence of Robert Pattinson (poor Bella had to learn that humans aren’t always as enthralled by her as Vampires); and Elizabeth Banks’ was voluntarily groped by presenters: Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello (she was accepting the ‘Best Transformation’ award for The Hunger Games… or something like that… the details get kind of blurry between all the dry-humping and Mr. Ab-Ripper X).

Leave a commentThe Hunger Games was a huge success in the theaters and there’s still more movies to come. The 2nd installment, Catching Fire, will introduce some more characters, like hottie pants Finnick Odair. And one name that kept popping up on the internet to play Finnick is Robert Pattinson.
Finally, Robert was curious to see if there was any truth to this rumor. He called up his agent to see if he scored him another role with a winning franchise but his agent pretty much said, “Oh hell no.”
Rob said, “(My agent) was like no one’s going to offer you that part. I was like, thanks for the reassurance.”
Sorry Rob. Guess you have to stick to your glittery vampire roles for now.
