You would think that Rihanna’s dad would be against Chris because of the whole assault thing but he’s actually on board with their relationship. In one interview, he actually called Rihanna fat and praised Chris. Father of the year?
But it’s actually Chris’ dad Clinton Brown that thinks he can do better than Rihanna. He’s even got a good girl picked out for his son.
Clinton said, “I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”
He also admitted that he was afraid that their relationship will end in tragedy. He said, “I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on!”
Then he brought up the whole fighting incident and said that Chris wasn’t the only at fault. He said, “One has to assume because they are back together that [the fight] wasn’t one-sided. You just have to imagine it was a circumstance in which they both had a disagreement.”
He said that if he had to pick someone to be with Chris, he would choose Jordin Sparks because, quote, “she’s a wholesome young lady, very pretty.”
Wow! Daddy Brown wants Chris to be with Jordin! Could he pick a sweeter, more innocent girl? Jordin took off her purity ring for boyfriend Jason Derulo and that’s about as wild as she’s gonna get. Chris would turn her into a weed-loving punching bag if he got a hold of her.
If Chris needed a new girlfriend, I think he’d be a better fit with someone of his violent equivalent, like Lil Kim or Naomi Campbell.
Whitney’s 19-year-old daughter Bobbi is looking more and more grown up—and more and more like Bobby Sr! Bobbi Kristina walked the red carpet with boyfriend and “adopted brother” Nick Gordon — they showed off their matching new tattoos with the initials “WH” surrounded by doves, which they got inked earlier this month on what would have been Whitney’s 49th birthday.
Other family members at the premiere included Pat Houston, Gary Houston, Cissy Houston and Michael Houston. In the movie, Whitney plays the overprotective mother, who having her own sketchy show biz experiences, would rather her talented daughters be spared.
Jennifer Hudson Jordin Sparks showed off her recent 50-pound weight loss in an amazing full-length white gown. Other stars included Cee Lo Green, Vivica A. Fox, Christina Milian, Mike Epps, JoJo and more. ”Sparkle” opens in theaters TODAY.
Is Jordin Sparks the new Jennifer Hudson?
Would you date someone who you consider an ‘adopted brother’?
Take a listen to Whitney’s final recording below and check out the trailer for “Sparkle” while you’re there… What do you think about it? Listen now!
Did you miss any of the Billboard Music Awards last night? There were a ton of performances, some stellar, some embarrassingly bad.
There was a little backstage drama with Whitney Houston’s fam. Apparently, her sister-in-law, Pat Houston, thought she should accept the Millennium award in Whitney’s honor. She just wanted the exposure to promote her upcoming reality show, but Whit’s daughter, Bobbi Krisitna, rightfully got to accept the award and gave a tearful speech. Jordin Sparks also sang “I Will Always Love You” as a tribute for the late singer.
Justin Bieber delivered a less than stellar performance of his song “Boyfriend“. He’s been slacking in the live performances lately… Time to switch to the Britney Spears’ way of lip synching? I think Biebs live cred is starting to slip. Carly Rae Jepsen completely upstaged him with her live performance of “Call Me Maybe”.
Cee-Lo Green and Goodie Mob did a tribute to MCA of the Beastie Boys that recently passed away. They performed their hit song “Fight For Your Right”in his honor. And it looked like Katy Perry was going to do some Circus du Soleil aerial acrobatics while performing her new song “Wide Awake”, but she just swung from the rafters for a bit.
Sparkle is the remake of the 1976 movie. Whitney plays a concerned mother that never made it as a singer and unsuccessfully tries to keep her daughter’s away from her same fate. She also graces us with a number and contributed a lot to the soundtrack.
The movie hits theaters August 17th, but you can get your first look at the trailer below.
