Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse that took her life after she fell for that Royal prank call, left behind a few suicide letters.. and now we know what she wrote in them.
It came out a few days ago that Jacintha was found dead in the hospital staff quarters hanging by a scarf. There were also marks on her wrists.
And she left behind three suicide notes, two of which were with her in the room and one that was in her belongings.
Radar Online said, “One of the letters, which is the longest, deals with the hospital and is critical in its tone. Needless to say, (her husband) Ben Barboza wants a full inquiry into what happened and he wants to make sure the truth comes out. Within the letter, Jacintha calls into question some of the treatment she received at the hospital.”
In the other letter, she talked about how it was hard to deal with the backlash that she was getting after receiving that prank call from Mel Greig and Michael Christian. The third note detailed her plans for the funeral.
Jacintha had sent out a number of emails and phone calls that are being investigated. Her family, friends and colleagues are being interviewed as well.
We told you that Mel and Michael, the jocks behind the prank call, have been fired from their job and their station 2DayFM is donating half a million dollars to the Saldanha family.

They went through all the proper channels to get their bit approved, like they do for everything else, but the prank took a tragic turn when the nurse that dispatched their call committed suicide.
It was announced yesterday that Mel and Michael’s show has been ‘terminated’ and the station will not be doing any more prank calls. But is it hypocritical that they were fired when their station 2DayFm is known for doing some awful pranks?
The Kyle and Jackie O show aired a segment back in 2009 called ‘Desperate Acts’. They gave a listener $1,000 to call her sister and convince her that their mother was severely injured and needed medical attention. The sister called 911 and the paramedics rushed over to her mother’s house, just to realize that she was fine. That prank prompted a police investigation.
Then later that year, Kyle and Jackie hooked a teenager up to a lie detector test and her mother grilled her about her sex life. After lots of insistence, it came out that girl had been raped when she was 12. That led to a police investigation and the show was suspended for a week.
Now Mel did say, quote, “I don’t even want to think about going back on the air, to be honest”.. but it does seem hypocritical of the station that is known for awful pranking to fire them.

Mel Greig and Michael Christian from 2DayFM called the King Edward VII hospital last week, posing as the Royal Family and got some info on the pregnant Kate Middleton. Jacintha Saldanha was the nurse that answered that prank call and patched them through to the princess’s room. The prank got national media attention and all sides apologized about it.
Then on Friday, Jacintha was found dead in her home after a suspected suicide. She was 46 years old and left behind a husband and two children. Her husband released a statement, saying, “I am devastated with the tragic loss of my beloved wife Jacintha in tragic circumstances. She will be laid to rest in Shriva, India. We as a family are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Jacintha.”
Mel and Michael have been receiving a lot of hate ever since the suicide. Their station released a statement saying that they would be off the air until further notice ‘out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy’. They have gone into hiding. One of Mel’s friends said that she is close to a breakdown and is undergoing ‘intensive psychological counseling’.
Mel and Michael gave their first interview since the suicide. They were supposed to give three interviews but Mel was too distraught to go on.
They said that the joke was supposed to be on them because their accents were so silly that they never expected to get through. Mel said, “You know it was designed to be stupid. We were never meant to get that far (with) the little corgies (colleagues) barking in the background. We obviously wanted it to be a joke.”
They said that they will face the family to apologize if were to request it. Mel said, “If that’s going to make them feel better then I’ll do what I need to do, absolutely. If that’s something that they want to do (meet face-to-face), to get some closure, then I’ll do that.”

Kate is still battling with severe morning sickness but she has not been hospitalized again. Prince William had to cancel his plans yesterday to stay by his wife’s side. He jokingly said, “I don’t know why they call it morning sickness — they should call it all day and all night sickness. [Recovery is] a long old process but she is getting there. She feels like it is going to go on forever.”
