Matt Lauer will be fired from the Today show if the ratings don’t improve by February!
He earns $25mil a year to co-host the morning show but he’s lost a lot of fans along the way since he’s responsible for the firing of Ann Curry. And the ratings continue to tank so insiders are saying that if they can’t improve by February, Matt will be getting axed.
They do have one last ditch effort to try to save the sinking ship. They are hoping to find a guy co-host that Matt can form a ‘bromance’ with.
But who could you pair with Matt Lauer to take away from the doucheness? Move Al Rocker up from the minor leagues? Nope, he hates him. Ryan Seacrest? Kelsey Grammer? Elisabeth Hasselbeck? Nobody?
Probably. Just cut your losses, Today Show. Or make things really excited and bring in his alleged baby mama Natalie Morales.
Matt Lauer is the big shot on the Today Show so he gets to make the calls.
He wanted Ann Curry out so they kicked her to the curb and blamed it on the bad ratings. Now they brought in Savannah Guthrie but she’s likely gonna get booted after more ratings blame so they can justify bringing in Matt’s baby mama Natalie Morales.
But while Matt may have the pull, he doesn’t have the support of his co-workers. Yesterday, Al Roker called Matt out for having Ann fired! He made a snide remark while Matt was talking to three women from the USA’s gold-medal winning rowing team.
Matt mentioned that it was a tradition to throw your teammate in the water after the win.
Weatherman Al just calmly replied, “Which is different than our tradition, which is to throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story.”
Matt just nervously laughed it off.. But he wasn’t laughing behind the scenes. NBC took that little snide remark out of the video before posting it to their website. Check out that vid below!
Leave a commentThe execs at NBC thought that firing Ann Curry was the solution to the Today Show’s rating prob. They brought Savannah Guthrie on board but she’s not delivering either.
The Today Show has lost in the ratings to their arch enemy ABC’s Good Morning America for the last 4 weeks in a row. NBC knew that they had to do something dramatic to save the Olympic coverage, so they called Hoda Kotb off of vacation and sent her to contribute alongside Savannah, Matt Lauer, his rumored baby mama Natalie Morales and Al Roker. Hoda did her first show in London yesterday.
If Savannah doesn’t up her performance, she’s gonna be out. Maybe that was the plan all along, to bring in Savannah knowing that she would suck so they could finally stick Natalie in that place. And Matt’s wife, who had threatened a divorce if he allowed his lover to take the co-host spot, would have to suck it up knowing that he won’t have a job if they can’t bring his mistress on board to save this show!
1 CommentMatt Lauer’s wife wants to ensure that he doesn’t do a repeat of the last Olympics… The last time Matt went to the Olympics, he hooked up with his coworker Natalie Morales and she ended up having his love child. Matt’s wife Annette filed for divorce after the Olympic debacle, even though she was pregnant with their third child at the time, but later withdrew the papers.
Well now Annette doesn’t want a repeat of the last Olympics, so she’s going to be tagging along with Matt and she’s bringing the whole family. Matt, his wife and their three kids will all be going to the Olympics and staying in a different hotel than the rest of the morning show cast and crew. She made it clear to Matt that the only reason that she’s going is to keep close tabs on him and hopefully he won’t feel compelled to cheat while his kids are there.
Leave a commentThere is some major drama going on behind the scenes of the Today Show. Now that Ann Curry is out as co-host, Natalie Morales wants the position. Natalie has been with the show for years and was upset that she got passed up for the position when Meredith Vieira left. She’s threatening to quit if she doesn’t get the job, even though it’s rumored that Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are the front runners.
But that’s not the only threats that are being made right now. The big not-so-secret is that Matt Lauer is the father of Natalie’s three year old son. They started having an affair back in ’06. Once Matt’s wife Annette found out, she filed for divorce but later withdrew the papers.
Well, Annette doesn’t want her hubby working so closely with that trollop. She threatened to divorce him if Natalie ends up with that position. She said that Matt has enough pull to get whoever he wants in that chair and if he insists on Natalie being there, their marriage is over!
