Patrick Dempsey plays a life saving doctor on TV and he was ready for action when he witnessed a horrific car crash right in front of his house.

17-year old Weston Massett was involved in a nasty wreck when he flipped his Mustang in front of Patrick’s home last week. Patrick ran outside with a crowbar to pry the door open and pulled the teenager out of the wreck. He then called the boy’s mother to tell her about the wreck while careflight was prepared to airlift him to the nearest hospital. Weston thought that he recognized Patrick and asked him if he was famous, but McDreamy just replied that he was a doctor.

Weston miraculously didn’t suffer any serious injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. Check out pics of of the wreck right here!
