Randy Jackson is quitting American Idol after 12 years of judging… which I think means they told him that he was getting fired but they are letting him save face by allowing him to publicly quit.
Randy released a statement saying, “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on ‘American Idol’ I have decided it is time to leave after this season.”
He’s using the LA Reid excuse, saying that he’s just going to focus on his music label.
Speaking of his music label, one rumor for his, cough, sudden departure is that Mariah Carey actually dropped him as her manager. They’ve been together since the early 90’s.
But Randy is likely just the beginning of the American Idol overhaul. It’s rumored that Idol will not be asking any of this season’s judges to come back. Ryan Seacrest will be there until the end of time. He’s like the Twinkie and cockroaches that will survive looong after the Idol apocalypse.
Ryan actually made a joke about Randy’s departure on last night’s episode. You can check that out HERE.
Are you sad to see Randy leave Idol after 12 years?
Leave a commentRyan Lochte’s sort of a big deal. He turned down a few shows before settling for his own reality show. He said that he turned down Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor because he just wanted to do things his way by starring in his own reality show, one that’s going to get him as famous as his idol, Kim Kardashian!
And Ryan knows that people are making fun of him but he’s just chalking that up to haters. He said, “The more known you get in the public eye, the more haters you’re gonna have and that’s a given. But, you know what? All the haters, all the name calling goes through one ear [and] out the other and I don’t mind it. The way I look at it, the more haters I have, it means I’m doing something right.”
His new show ‘What Would Ryan Lochte Do?’ premiered on Sunday with less than impressive numbers. The Kardashians tell-all special aired right before the big debut and drew in 1.5 million viewers but Ryan’s show only got 807k viewers.
I’m sure that stings E!’s pride. Not everyone can be a Kardashian but nice try, Ryan Seacrest. But hey, there’s still a chance for that married Jonas kid… I think.

Tom Cruise is finally opening up about his split with Katie Holmes. He admitted what everyone else already knew- he was blindsided in the divorce.
He said, “I didn’t expect that. Life is a challenge. To be 50 and have experiences and think you have everything under control, and then it hits you . . . that’s what life is. Life is tragicomic. You need a certain sense of humor.”
Tom hasn’t publicly stepped out with another woman yet, maybe Scientology is running behind on the next wife tryouts, but there is a newly single lady that is desperate to reconnect with her former costar.
Julianne Hough, who recently split up with Ryan Seacrest, has a huge crush on Tom and wants them to be the next power couple.
They had major chemistry while filming ‘Rock of Ages’ so she wants to find the perfect role to bring them back together. She’s been searching through scripts for the role that could help them fall in love.
At least Julianne sticks to her type of men- rich and gay.
Leave a commentIt’s been four years since Chris Brown beat his girlfriend, Rihanna. Leaving her battered and bruised, Brown was charged with a felony assault and has been apologizing for his behavior ever since.
But has he changed? I mean he got into a bar brawl with Drake, threw a chair at Good Morning America, and had a little fight with Frank Ocean (over a parking spot…). So really, has he changed?
In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Chris talked about his relationship with Rihanna and how he continues to work for her trust. “I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident,” Chris said. “That time was probably the worst part of my life, and being that she’s a wonderful person, I’m eternally grateful.”
Throughout the interview, he made it known that what he did was downright wrong. He said, “I was capable of writing and producing songs, so I’m also capable of making the right choices.”
He continued by saying, “Being at that young age, I can tell you I was arrogant and definitely hotheaded. Everybody has a temper, but for me it was not knowing how to control it when I thought I had the world in my hands.”
Well hopefully he’s learned how to control that temper…we don’t want to see RiRi get hurt again!
Leave a commentIt’s been rumored before but the possibility is back on table thanks to the horrible ratings… American Idol might be dumping Ryan Seacrest.
They are getting beat by Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal in the ratings so Idol thinks it may have to make some big changes, like dumping Ryan Seacrest and all these big name celebrities.
They might have to get rid of the big money host and go back to square one, getting ‘industry insider judges’ like Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, and someone informed but past their prime like Paula Abdul, so “they can turn the contestants into stars rather than the other way around.”
I think it’s a good idea! Dump Seacrest and get some mediocre cheap host, like Khloe Kardashian. She’s awful but you pay for what you get.
