Simon Cowell said that he wants to bring back quality judges this year and steer clear of the expensive name brands with no opinions, so is that why he picked this dull crop of judges?
Demi Lovato managed to survive the X-Factor cuts after last season. Officially, she and Simon are the only judges that are secured for this season but sources say that two new judges are close to signing a deal.
Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio are allegedly going to be the new judges on X-Factor. Kelly has experience from working on the UK X-Factor and Paulina has some judging experience as well. She’s worked as a judge on La Voz.. Mexico and La Voz Kids.
Are they the quality judges that Simon has been holding out for or did he just simply run out of time? X-Factor has to have all the judges in place by tomorrow because they begin working on the new season in Charleston, South Carolina.
As of now, Fox is not commenting but expect an announcement probably later today.

American Idol and X-Factor have some different strategies on how they can finally start winning the singing competition show battle.
Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe wants to boost the ratings by putting together a dream team of judges. He wants to get Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pink and Diddy to come on as judges next season.
He wants to ditch all the judges from the current season.. He tried to get rid of everyone last year but couldn’t cut ties with Randy Jackson. Was that Mariah Carey’s doing maybe? He is her manger. Maybe that was part of the deal.. In order to get the diva, they’d have to keep the dawg.
But would those big judges be able to make the show interesting or just drain more of a paycheck from the failing budget? And would they have enough time to even commit?
Simon Cowell has a different vision for X-Factor. He says that he wants to trade in the big names for a lesser known group that shares real chemistry. He said that all the shows got too distracted by signing these big celebs but they don’t have much to say. His favorite thing about last season was Demi Lovato because she brought more to the panel than the mega overpaid Britney Spears.
The Voice has nothing to say because even with their recent judge switch up, they are still winning in the ratings and the talent.

Who are going to be the judges on this season of X-Factor? Britney Spears and LA Reid are out, along with the host Khloe Kardashian.
Simon Cowell has kept quiet about his plans for this season but there are a lot of rumors going around.
Kelly Rowland might possibly be coming over from the UK X-Factor. She’s been a successful judge over there so Simon thinks it may be time to bring her experience to the US.
Another name that is getting thrown around is Jennifer Love Hewitt. She might be best known for her roles in Party of Five and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but she did get her start with a singing career. She was actually a pop star in Japan back in ’92. She said that she was so successful there because they were really into perky music at the time. She later released an album during her Party of Five fame. She’s released four albums total and a handful of singles.
Never knew that about her. I just thought she was all boobs with a little bit of acting skills.
And Simon is reportedly hot after Reba McIntyre. He thinks the show needs a country flair and wants her to be the ballsy Blake Shelton of the show.

In the land of not surprising news, Khloe Kardashian didn’t get asked back to host the X-Factor again.
Well some reports say that she was fired, others (likely planted by the Kardashian camp) say that it was a mutual decision because she’s got such a busy schedule.
Another rumor is that Mario Lopez and Khloe didn’t get along but in all actuality, it’s her mother that he couldn’t stand.
The source said, “Everyone thinks that Mario hated working with Khloe. But he was nothing but encouraging and supportive (to Khloe). It was her mother Kris who was the problem.”
“Kris would go to the producers and say Mario was being pushy and insensitive and she’d often confront Mario directly. There was even a very absurd incident when Kris suggested to the producers that they should dump Mario and replace him with one of her other daughters. Kris claimed that the chemistry between Mario and Khloe just didn’t work and that Kim or Kourtney would be a better fit.
Well, the producers agreed with the no chemistry argument, but also that Khloe was in over her head – and that’s why she’s gone.”
Mario will be coming back to host and so far, Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato are the only judges returning for another season.

A 20-year old Florida man named Orrion Wilson flew to New Orleans over the weekend to audition for X-Factor. He got through to the next round, which would be in New York City, but he didn’t have any money or a way to get there.. So he stole a vehicle.
He stole a car that someone left unattended at a gas station. He ended up getting into a high speed chase with the police and eventually wrecked into a cop car before he was forced off the road.
Orrion was arrested for aggravated assault on a police officer, theft of a motor vehicle, theft over $500, criminal damage, resisting arrest, and aggravated flight from an officer.
Oh and he’s off the show. Too bad that he’s spending his 5 minutes of fame in jail rather than on the X-Factor stage. Instead of winning over Simon Cowell, maybe he can win over his guard and get some extra desert.
