Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have a very relaxed style of parenting… and from what we hear, a very relaxed and open marriage too.
Will admitted that they don’t believe in punishing their kids. He said, “From the time Jaden was five or six we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life.”
And it’s that relaxed upbringing that allowed Jaden to ask his parents what he really wants for his 15th.. He wants to be emancipated.
He asked his parents if he could be emancipated because he wants to buy his own house, live alone and have access to his money.
Will said that there would be backlash if Jaden was an emancipated minor but, quote, “On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.”
But maybe there is more to this story. Jaden is dating Kylie Jenner. Maybe he’s making the first step because he needs to save his girlfriend from the child-laboring Kardashian family. Maybe he’s trying to get his own freedom so he can set up a safe house and rescue Kylie from her money hungry family.
Or Jaden is just being a little rich punk that thinks that he can take care of himself because if his older buddy Justin Bieber can do it, he can too.

This should be an interesting spin on the story of little orphan Annie! Jay-Z will be producing a new film adaptation of Annie, along with Will and Jada Smith. Their daughter, Willow, was originally supposed to play Annie, but she out grew the part.
As for Jay-z, you may recall that he notoriously sampled “It’s a Hard Knock Life” for his 1998 hit “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem).”
Jay had this to say about his first foray into film: ”We (Marcy Media) couldn’t ask for better partners and mentors than Overbrook Entertainment. We are excited to work with Will Gluck and Sony Pictures Entertainment. My well-known affinity for the classic ‘Hard Knock Life’ makes Annie a natural vehicle to lead us into the world of the cinema.”
I wonder what other songs Jay-Z and will tweak? How about “Fully Dressed?” He’ll likely want to change the lyrics “you’re never fully dressed without a SMILE” (kind of weak) to “You’re never fully dressed without BLING around your neck or shining from your grill.”
The song that will require the most drastic overhaul though is “Let’s go to the movies.” I seriously doubt a kid, nowadays, who be THAT excited to go to Regal Cinema, even if an orphan. Instead of “Let’s go to the movies,” it will have to be “Let’s go VIP to see Jay-Z, poppin’ bottles of Cristal, y’all.”

Leave a commentWillow Smith has been crying out for help but her parents don’t seem to care. .. Maybe they are too busy splitting up every other day or just too involved in Scientology? Or fighting over how to discipline their daughter?
The 12-year old stepped out in a jacket the other day that had “I Hate Everyone” written on the back of it. She’s also been posting sad messages like “Being normal is ugly”, “I live in my own hell”, “I am on the brink”, “Life is pain” and “I think my thoughts are trying to murder me.”
Everyone thinks that Willow is acting out but her parents are too busy fighting over her to realize it. Her mom Jada Pinkett thinks that she is brilliant and expressing herself while daddy Will thinks that she needs less showbiz and more of a normal structured life. They got into a huge fight after Willow wore that hate jacket. Will demanded that they make more rules for her but Jada just said that he was a fuddy-duddy that didn’t understand his kids.
But her behavior does seem like a cry for help. Hopefully her parents can put their differences aside and help her before she turns into a little lost girl, or another Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes. Or grow up to be Rihanna.

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are going to break up! For real this time.. according to sources.
The breakup rumors first started when Stacy made the rookie mistake of doing a photoshoot in wedding dresses. Then last month, it was reported that they finally split but George and Stacy’s rep denied that story. Yet they still haven’t been seen out together. Now sources are telling the NYDN that their relationship is nearing the end and poor Stacy is beside herself waiting for that ‘I’m dumping you’ text.
A source saw Stacy at a cooking event and said that ‘she was acting really nervous and refused to talk about George’. And at a different event, Stacy was tearful and breaking down through out the day. She kept checking her phone for calls or messages from Clooney but he was MIA.
The source said that he’s being really distant and barely talking to her. She wakes up everyday thinking that today is the day that he’s gonna dump her.
In the meantime, she’s throwing herself into work. Guess she wants to take up as many offers as she can while she’s still got Clooney as her reference.
But I think the ‘source’ has it all wrong again. I don’t think that Clooney is finally going to buckle down and be with Stacy for forever. But I do think that they are going to get married out of spite just to prove everyone wrong. Maybe do a quick turn around marriage like Kim Kardashian or something.
Or they will announce that they are done tomorrow. We shall see.

Will and Jada‘s kiddies—Jaden and Willow Smith—both release new songs this week.
Is this a fun sibling rivalry or do they both just LOVE the spot light, like daddy? (And the spot light loves ‘em back.)
Brother, Jaden, may get jiggy with it in ‘Gonzoes,’ but it’s Willow who gets real in ’I Am Me’ and wins our hearts.
Willow has gotten a lot of ink recently for her colorful styling choices. ‘I Am Me’ may be her response to that unsolicited advice. The song showcases Willow’s powerful voice and vulnerability.
It also shows us that her parents are doing a good job. If Willow keeps putting out lyrics like these — “Your validation it’s not just that important to me… I’m mee, and that’s all I can be” — therapy will not be necessary!
Is ‘I Am Me’ a contender for ‘feel good song of the summer?’
