No official word but it’s being reported that Jason Segel and Michelle Williams have broken up after a year of dating.
According to sources, they broke up earlier this month because they couldn’t handle the long distance anymore. Michelle lives in New York with her 7-year old daughter Matilda and Jason lives in LA, where his sitcom is filmed.
Just last month, they were photographed together as one big family. Jason even reportedly called up Heath Ledger’s parents to ask for their blessing for him to be a part of Matilda’s life.. I thought they were going to get married but the distance thing was just too much for them.
Guess he’ll never get to drag out the story to Matilda about how he met her mother.

Okay, Michelle wasn’t completely living under a rock…she’d heard Jason‘s name once or twice before and she’d seen the Muppets movie, which she thought, “Oh, that’s cute.” However, Michelle had no clue that he made “a lot of very popular, funny movies or that he was on a TV show.”
Wait? Jason Segel was on a TV show?? Haha, yes, of course—the hilarious cult hit—Freaks and Geeks and it’s follow-up Undeclared. And if you’re wondering what his biggest comedy film is—how about Forgetting Sarah Marshall (how could she ‘forget’ that!?).
Michelle also said that she “didn’t realize he was so tall (6’4″). I thought, ‘Hey, man, you’re cramping my style!’ I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn’t me and I just gave up.”
For those of us who DO know who Jason Segel is and understand his wacky self-depricating brand of humor—isn’t this whole scenario of finding out that your girlfriend isn’t familiar with your body of work—sooooo Jason Segel? Michelle shouldn’t feel too bad though, I doubt Jason was a big Dawson’s Creek fan… although, you never know with Jason.
Maybe that’s the secret to making a relationship work in Hollywood—being clueless as to who the other person is? After all, Michelle revealed that she’s finally turned a corner since her ex-Heath Ledger’s death (now 5 years ago)
“The other day I was out there all bundled up and the sun was shining and I realized I was smiling in a way I hadn’t in a long time. The roses in my cheeks weren’t from makeup for once. It was a perfect moment,” Michelle said.

It’s plausible. They pretty much jumped into a serious relationship immediately. They are always together, smiling, kissing. He’s even won over the affection of her 6-year old daughter Matilda.
Well rumor is, he popped the question to Michelle while they were in San Diego for Comic Con. He scattered her favorite flowers all the hotel room and had Matilda meet her at the door with a bouquet and a note that asked that question, “Will You Marry Me?” How sweet is that?
But ‘friends’ of the couple said that they are not engaged.. yet. I’m still gonna hold out hope that this is story is true and not just a tabloid fairytale.
Leave a commentJason Segel let us in on a little secret when he was on the show last weekend. He told us that he likes to write roles for women that he wants to make out with and then writes it into the movie.
So maybe that’s why he had hopes of doing a movie with Hillary Clinton? He jokingly mentioned something about wanting to work with her in a comedy but Hillary wrote him a letter rejecting his offer. She wrote, “I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall . . . again. My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career.”

Leave a commentRemember Knocked Up? Such a funny movie and it introduced us to the very funny Seth Rogen… and exposed Katherine Heigl as being an ungrateful B. Knocked Up turned her into a movie actress but she trash talked it, saying that it was degrading to women… Not too smart to bash the movie that made you famous.
Anyway, now Judd Apatow is presenting the sorta sequel to the movie, ‘This is 40’.
It actually doesn’t star Seth or Katherine. The movie actually follows her sister’s family, Debbie (Leslie Mann), Pete (Paul Rudd) and their two kids.
Debbie starts to freak out as she approaches 40 and she makes a list of things that they should start doing. She’s says that they need to do these things now because they are 40 or will never get to them. She just wants to exercise more, have more patients with the kids, all that fun stuff that you usually make as New Year’s solutions but never quite get to.
Leslie talked about the movie, saying, “It’s about getting older. What the hell happened? Am I making all the right choices? Is this where I’m supposed to be? Is this it? All of those dreams that you had when you were young, all of the possibilities, when you lock into marriage and kids, do the possibilities dwindle or go away?”
The movie also stars Jason Segel, Megan Fox, and Melissa McCarthy and is scheduled to hit theaters this Christmas.
