Miley Cyrus may not be the only young star planning a wedding… The next young star to go down the aisle might be Casper Smart. Did he pop the question to his old lady Jennifer Lopez?
J.Lo was photographed wearing this big diamond on her ring finger so everyone thought that Casper went ahead and locked that down. But Jennifer shot down the engagement rumors. She posted on her website, “Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got. No engagement!”

First, Britney Spears made sure that would pull in more than J.Lo did for her first season on American Idol.. That was actually one of her stipulations! Initially, Brit was asking for $20mil from X-Factor but they talked her down to $15mil. She was ok with that because that’s still more than J.Lo’s starting salary of 12mil (Jen’s now up to $20mil but Brit doesn’t have that pull yet).
Now Christina Aguilera is jumping in on the jealousy train too. She’s only making $10mil a year on The Voice and she’s insulted that the ‘zombie’ Britney is making more. She threw a tantrum when she found out that Brit scored so big on the X-Factor gig. According to sources, she started throwing things, cursing and saying that Britney couldn’t pull off this judging gig because she was too lethargic. But really she’s just jealous that Britney continues to find success after her very public meltdown. People are still critical over Christina for her weight and her drinking problem while Britney is back in everyone’s good graces.
Leave a commentLooks like Jennifer Lopez IS leaving Idol, which ticks off her reps because she seems to be taking business advice from her 25 year old boy-toy. Casper Smart apparently noticed that Jennifer—for whatever reason—was feeling overwhelmed juggling her music, movies, Idol, being a good mom and their relationship. Something had to give.
People are saying Jennifer is selfish though to abandon her judge’s seat on American Idol after it re-launched her career that was in a lull.
But couldn’t the key word here be ‘re-launched;’ as in her career as a performer is back on track now and if so, it may be smart to leave Idol on a high note and set off on tour? Maybe her reps are just embarrassed that Casper came up with this idea before they did.
That said, Casper may have hidden motives. He could just be nervous for his girlfriend to continue her reign as the goddess of TV talent show judges since every contestant seems to confess their love for Jennifer. But, of course the swooning by Idol singers like Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips (both in their early 20s), was just all fun and games. I doubt J.Lo would ever take their propositions seriously. I mean, they’re ridiculously younger!

Leave a commentThe American Idol finale was last night and it was a jam packed show. Who was crowned the American Idol winner? Was it Jessica Sanchez or Phillip Phillips?
The top 12 contestants paid tribute to both Donna Summer and Robin Gibb, who recently passed away due to cancer. Rihanna performed her new single “Where Have You Been” and didn’t repeatedly pat her crotch. Jennifer Lopez donned some baggy ‘In Living Color’ style pants.. Speaking of wearing a weird outfit.. What was Fantasia thinking wearing that skintight jumpsuit? Moving on…
Steven Tyler also took the stage with Aerosmith. They performed their new song “Legendary Child”.
There was even a cheeseball proposal. American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo took the stage and he asked for her hand in marriage. He also threw in the plug for that freebie engagement ring.
And by now you already know that Phillip Phillips walked away the American Idol champion. Following his win, his mom revealed that his kidney stones were more painful than he let on. She said that he had to have a stint put in just to keep his kidney’s functioning through the competition and now he’s going to have another surgery.
