She was hoping for a little bundle of baby boy all along. She wanted to give Maxwell Drew a baby brother and her wish came true!
A source told Radar Online, “It’s Jessica’s dream come true, she prayed she was having a boy. What with everything going on in her personal life, and her problems with her father, this has given her something to smile about. She found out this week after a check-up at the doctor, who asked her if she wanted to know the sex of the baby. Jessica immediately said yes and when the doctor told her it was a boy she screamed with joy. She was so happy that Maxwell is getting a little brother because that’s something she always wanted when she was growing up.”
Jessica and Eric are already discussing baby names… Think they will give him a girlie name since they gave the manly name to his big sister? I know a few names they should stay away from… Tony, Romo, John, Mayer, Nick.
Congrats on the little boy!
Tina Simpson, who was a momager way before Kris Jenner ever stole that title, wants to take a page right out of the Kardashian’s book. She wants to open a boutique that carries only Jessica Simpson’s fashion label.
She’s had this idea for awhile because she’s always looking for ways to expand her daughter’s label but she’s afraid to make any big money moves right now because of the looming divorce.
She’s helped build Jessica’s fashion empire from the beginning, without any help from her papa Joe, so she doesn’t want him benefiting from any of the profits during the divorce. She’s put the clothing store on hold until their divorce is settled so he can’t reap any of the benefits…. which is fine with Jessica.
She doesn’t want her dad getting his hands on her money. She still hasn’t even forgiven Joe for cheating on her mom and blindsiding the family by coming out of the closet.
Joe is working as an executive producer on her upcoming sitcom for NBC but they will manage to still avoid each other there. Joe won’t be on set while Jess is there but will come by afterwards to handle the business side of things.
Joe can put in his two cents on how the show should work but Jessica will have the final call.. Wonder if she will decide to out him on the show?
Yep, it’s true. Jessica Simpson is getting her own sitcom. And unfortunately for us, it will not be a Newlyweds 2. Let’s all admit it. That show was not only funny, it also marked the beginning of reality shows. And it was way better than Britney and K-Fed’s show.
Although now would be a great time for a reality show. Jess’ hormones are (always) high but she’s got a baby in the way and a baby in the belly. Papa Joe could make some appearances because gay guys always add a certain flair to shows. Eric Johnson could continue to hem and haw over marriage and maybe even play some football… Does he even still play?
Well the reality days are behind Jessica now.. but she is going to star in a new sitcom about her life.
NBC picked up this sitcom that will be “a fictionalized version of the singer-turned-actress-turned-fashion mogul’s colorful life in the public eye”. And Jessica will be playing herself.
Chairman Ben Silverman said, “We are thrilled to team up with the multitalented Jessica Simpson to bring this new sitcom to life on NBC as she is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops. From running a fashion empire to wrangling her public image as a new mom, we see Jessica’s character approach a variety of ‘everyday’ circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud.”
Jessica piped in and said, “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life, so between the real life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing.”
As of right now, there is no timeline for this show. She could give birth or even get pregnant again before taping begins.
Hopefully this show will do her some good. She doesn’t have a career as a singer anymore, not that she’s hurting for cash. She makes plenty of money from her fashion line… But this isn’t her first attempt at breaking it big on the small screen. ABC picked up a pilot called ‘Jessica’ that was going to be about a popstar that was down on her luck and had to take a gig as a news anchor but that show never took off.
I think I would probably give this show a chance and see if Jessica could keep my simple mind entertained for 30 minutes.
What do you think? Would you watch her show?
Oh lord.. I’m still reeling in the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are having a baby together. Let’s hope the baby gets its talents from the daddy and not the mama. Kanye would be ticked off if his child had no skills outside of the realm of Ryan Seacrest. He wants to make a talented kid, just like Billy Ray Cyrus did and Rihanna and Chris Brown will someday. CHA-CHING!
But in all seriousness, congrats. I know this isn’t how Kim envisioned her venture into motherhood. She dreamed of having kids with her husband someday.. just not her current hubby. Kris Humprhies isn’t surrendering in this divorce and she’s still not free to marry Kanye, but let’s look on the bright side. I guess if I had to choose a baby daddy for Kim, I would choose Kanye over Kris.. but only because Reggie Bush is off the table and procreating with another woman.
I still need a minute.
We told you about her big not-so-surprising reveal on Christmas day. She announced on Twitter, via a very adorable picture of Maxwell, that she was pregnant with baby #2. She worked a deal out with Weight Watchers to pick up where she left off after she pops out this newest addition, then she divulged in all the holiday goodies.
And now that she’s not hiding it, she’s sharing it. She posted another adorable pic, this time of her bulging baby bump, along with the caption, ‘Bumpin and Proud!’.
She is a beautiful pregnant woman.. in the early stages. Then she gets a bad case of the over-sharing. I still shudder when I think about her comments about her water breaking.. (I feel like I have a bowling ball on my hoo-ha! I’ve got so much amniotic fluid, it’s gonna come gushing out like a fire hydrant when my water breaks!) Rephrasing here but only kinda sorta.
Keep those comments to yourself but congrats nonetheless.
And Matthew McConaughey’s wifey squirted out another baybay. He announced on Twitter that he and Camila Alves welcomed their third kid on Friday. He tweeted, “Camila Alves gave birth to our third child yesterday morning. Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43am on 12.28.12. He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches. Bless up and thank you for your well wishes. Happy New year, and just keep livin, Camila and Matthew McConaughey.”
Livingston joins his other brother, 4-year old Levi, and 3-year old sister Vida.
Bet you Matthew never envisioned three little ones back when he used to bang on the bongos naked.
Congrats on the latest from us and the patient cougar Demi Moore.
Jessica Simpson has a new Weight Watchers commercial that confirms once and for all she’s pregnant, but you already knew that since it was leaked by every gossip source in existence, as well as by her baby girl, Maxwell, via Twitter…
On Christmas Day, Maxwell posed on the beach beside “big sis” written in the sand. Then, yesterday Jessica’s new WW video dropped…
In the commercial Jessica says, “I feel like I’m on top of the world!”
Maybe that’s because baby number two means that everyone will get OFF HER BACK about loosing the baby weight from number one—hence she got to induge in all of the holidays goodies! (That’s definitely something worth screaming from the mountaintops over.)
If the disclaimer on the new commercial—Pregnant women are not eligible for the program. Jessica has stopped following the plan and intends to return after she gives birth—isn’t enough of a hint that the infamous ‘pay and weigh’ program isn’t trying to cover its a$$, then the official statement on company’s Facebook page is:
“Our celebrity ambassador Jessica Simpson shared yesterday that another gift is on the way! After a 50lb weight loss to get back to her pre-baby weight, she’s expecting a second child next year.”
The company continued, “We know that one of the most important factors for having a healthy baby is being a healthy mother, and though Jessica will not be following the program during her pregnancy, we feel good that what she’s learned during her time on our program can help her make healthy choices in any life stage. Congrats Jess, Eric and big sister-to-be Maxwell on the wonderful news!”
