Barbara Walters revealed most of this year’s Most Fascinating People list. This is the final year that she will be coining who is the fascinating ones. She is retiring next May at 84 years old. This year’s show will also pay tribute to her Most Fascinating specials over the last 20 years.
As usual, there will be 10 people honored by Barbara as being the Most Fascinating and she’s already revealed 9 of those names. The #1 person will be revealed when the special airs on December 18th.
Other people making appearances on the list include NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad and Pope Francis.
We will have to wait for the final name to be revealed on December 18th.. Wonder who it will be?
Another list that you may be fascinated by is Glamour UK Magazine’s list of the World’s Sexiest Men. Just a few important names from that list: Justin Bieber comes in at #10, Chris Hemsworth is #7, Harry Styles- 6, Liam Hemsworth-3, Robert Pattinson is #2.
And the World’s Most Sexiest Man according to Glamour UK Magazine is Superman hottie Henry Cavill. Some felt that Henry was robbed of People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive title earlier this year when it was given to Adam Levine so I bet they will be really happy with this ranking!
We thought that maybe the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were going to drag out this name game for awhile. But by royal standards, Kate Middleton and Prince William actually named the royal baby pretty quickly. It took a month for Queen Elizabeth to name Prince Charles, and then it took him and Princess Diana a week to give William his royal name.
Just two days after having the royal baby, Kate and William announced his name. They named him George Alexander Louis. Officially, he will be known as Prince George of Cambridge.
There’s no word on why they chose that name. Some think it’s because Prince Charles has said that the monarch that he most admires is King George III.
Others think that maybe he was named after Queen Elizabeth’s father, George VI. And Alexander comes from the queen’s middle name, Alexandra.
And then there is the obvious connection. Some think they picked the name because of their love for Seinfeld.
They picked the name George because of the character George Louis Costanza, “Alexander” because Jason Alexander played him. Or maybe they were giving the “Louis” love to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine.
UPDATE- The royal baby has a name. It is… George Alexander Louis! Sounds like a name fit for a future king!
Some people say that they aren’t interested in the royal baby but I don’t see how anyone couldn’t be. No one else can have a child that gets this much attention. The royal birth announcement displayed on the easel, the town crier, showing off the newborn Prince of Cambridge the next day… It’s so exciting!
New parents Kate Middleton and Prince William debuted the royal baby yesterday. Still no name for that little one though.
Prince William said, “We are still working on a name, so we will have that as soon as we can. But it’s the first time we’ve seen him really.” Then he joked that the baby “thankfully” got his mama’s looks and already has “way more” hair than he does.
He also said, “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure. He’s a big boy . . . he’s quite heavy.”
Kate said that was still really emotional (uh, yeah, you just birthed a future king) and added, “It’s a moment that any parent having just given birth will know what this feeling feels like.”

The baby is finally here! After being on Royal Baby watch for most of yesterday, the British royal crier finally announced that the baby had arrived.
After ten hours of labor, Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby boy at 4:24 pm BST (British Summer Time). She delivered him at St. Mary’s hospital in London, the same place where Prince William was born! Both Kate and baby are said to be doing great. Prince William stayed overnight at the hospital with them.
The royal baby is 8 pounds, 6 ounces and she delivered him naturally. And this little prince is third in line to the throne, after Charles and Prince William. He kicked Prince Harry back to be the 4th in line.
As of now, there is no name for the baby just yet but the bookies are all placing their bets on the Prince of Cambridge being named James. Other favorites are George and Henry.
Prince Charles released a statement saying, “Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy . . . I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”
Prince William just released the simple statement, “We could not be happier.”
And the new parents took time to thank the hospital staff “for the tremendous care the three of us have received.” They released a statement saying, ”We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone – staff, patients and visitors – for their understanding during this time.”
Kate and William are expected to bring the baby home sometime in the next 24 hours.
It’s finally here! Well, almost. Kate Middleton has been admitted to the hospital and is in the early stages of labor. She is having the royal baby at St. Mary’s hospital in London. It’s the same hospital where Prince William was born 31 years ago.
The palace released a statement saying, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
Will is by Kate’s side. Her mother Carole and sister Pippa are expected to be there as well.
And now we wait. When the royal baby arrives, a press secretary will come out of the front door with a piece of paper that will have all the details on the new heir to the throne. It will have the baby’s eye color, hair color, weight, time of birth and a “brief description on his or her first moments”.
The details will be released when the birth notice is placed on an easel, the same one that was used to announce William’s birth, at the Buckingham Palace.
