John Mayer seems to be ‘that guy’ — the douchebag who somehow convinces the hottest girls to hook up with him. The latest of his victims is said to be Katy Perry… only she is volunteering!
Katy has apparently had a thing for John Mayer since back in 2009 when they hit it off at NYC’s Goldbar. A source said, “she made it her mission to hook up with him.” They wound up leaving separately though and the very next day she met Russell Brand.
Now that she’s officially single again, it sounds like she’s back on her mission of making John her man, well, for a night anyway. Smart! He’s doesn’t seem good for much longer than that.
The rumors really started to heat up after Katy and John Mayer spent last Friday night together at West Hollywood’s Soho House. “They were affectionate, holding hands and cuddling!” says a witness. The duo had an encore the next night, when the Montana-based crooner, 34, shared pizza with Perry, 27, at her house. Pizza! This is getting serious! But, wait, what about what’s his name? Umm.. Musician Robert Ackroyd…? Katy has also been dating him.
Is this JUST the beginning of new romances for Katy?

Who’s going to be joining Mariah Carey on the judging panel at American Idol?
We still don’t know what’s going to happen to Randy Jackson. Initially it was said that Randy would take on more of a mentor role but he may have get to stay in the judges’ chair after getting Mariah to join to show.
Lots of other names have been thrown around to possibly join the show, like Fergie and Katy Perry. But there’s a country star that is a big contender… and he’s had ties to the shows for awhile.
American Idol wants to mimic The Voice by bringing a country star on board. They are considering bringing on Brad Paisley. He has a past with some of the winners.. He recorded a duet with Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCreery joined him on tour. Idol has had a few more notable country artists too, like Kellie Pickler, Lauren Alaina and Josh Gracin.
No word on if Brad has even been contacted yet or if he would even be willing to do it.
But even if Randy, Brad and Mariah are all on board, there may be one more spot open. Rumor is they are going to change back to four judges this season just like the other competition shows. Both The Voice and X-Factor have four judges and Idol has tried this format before.. They think that they need more star power to save the ratings, so a 4th celebrity judge could make a big difference.

Katy‘s divorce from Russell Brand became final just in time for her to get involved with another bizarre foreigner… India.
She and Aussie ‘cricket’ star Doug Bollinger are being charged with “indecency” for their playful onstage antics at the opening of the Indian Premier League in April; offending members of the public.
The indecency case, which relates to the moment Doug put his arms around Katy to demonstrate a “cricket bat move” at the Chennai event, will go before an Indian court on July 31.
Katie still has a lot of catching up to do though; her ex Russell Brand has been arrested 11 times for public indecency, according to Pikipedia.
The complaint was said to be filed by a lawyer who is acting on the public’s behalf and alleges the opening of the show was “obscene and lascivious” and “distracted students who were writing exams at the time.”
Wow, it’s hard to believe that THIS, of all things we’ve been exposed to here in the U.S. could cause such uproar; maybe in the Footloose/Dirty Dancing era, but nowadays, we see racier stuff on FOX’s Glee.
The pair have not been formally charged and will not have to appear in court, but if the complaint is found to be justified, Katy may have to take to the stand at a later date to defend her dancing.
Katy’s onstage d**k joke may have broke Indian Penal Code #268: Public nuisance—A person is guilty of a public nuisance who does any act which causes annoyance to the public or to the people in general who dwell or occupy property in the vicinity….
Good thing we don’t have this law here, otherwise Hollywood would be a ghost town! (along with many many other cities)

Katy and Russell Brand are officially divorced. They filed back in February but had to wait for six months for it to be finalized. The divorce became legal yesterday.
Russell never publicly bashed his wife until she officially became his ex but her name came up last night at the taping of his show ‘Brand X’. He was talking to the audience when this girl named Katie spoke up. He told her, “Enough of you. I’ve had enough arse-ache from people called Katy in the last year.”
But Katy’s not letting her ex’s bitter resentment get in the way of her newfound love. Her rumored boyfriend, Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, is reportedly moving from London to the States to be with her. Katy knows that it was the long distance thing that killed her relationship with Russell so she wants to keep her new man close by so they can settle down together.

The slow as molasses court system must be even MORE brutal if you’re a couple who reportedly still have feelings for each other. Sadly, there is no happy movie ending to this love story—where Russell makes a grand gesture like surprising Katy on stage disguised in a purple wig—and they rekindle their love just moments before the judge swings his gavle (or whatever happens to make a divorce final).
Russell filed divorce papers in December citing “irreconcilable differences” just 14 months after their lavish wedding in India in October, 2010. Last week, US Weekly reported that disagreements over starting a family played a role in the split. “[Russell] feels there’s no point in being married if you don’t have kids,” an unnamed source told the magazine, adding that, at 37, the British comedian was “ready to move on.”
Katy turned the divorce into a #1 song ‘Wide Awake’ and opened up about the painful split in her documentary Katy Perry: Part Of Me documentary, revealing she was desperate to save the marriage but the couple’s busy schedules made the relationship too difficult. She said, “I’m a romantic and I believe in the whole fairy tale. Love is a dream but the reality is making it work. I did everything I could – but it’s still failed.”
